An exceptional mountain retreat w/private waterfall, fire pit & European hot tub! Does the thought of sleeping with the soothing flow of a waterfall nearby, sound wonderful to you? Or maybe, having a glass of wine while soaking in a beautiful European hot tub, overlooking that waterfall? How about roasting marshmallows over the fire pit at the bottom of that waterfall? If, so... "THE RETREAT @ MINIHAHA" is for you. This upscale, 3BR/2bath... newly renovated... property, is nestled perfectly in the Blue Ridge Mountains, beside it's very own "Minihaha Falls". The owners have gone to great lengths to make this vacation home as "perfect" as is can possibly be.

You'll enter the one-level home, with ease, from the parking area... just one step up onto the side portion of the multi-level deck. Inside, the open floor plan, greets guests into the fully equipped kitchen, w/stainless steel appliances, the dining area w/seating for six (6), the living area, w/beautiful leather furnishings, and... a spectacular lounging area, in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows, overlooking the waterfall & the fire pit area below.

The large Master Bedroom features a King size, adjustable bed, luxurious linens & bedding, a flat screen TV, a private entrance/exit out onto the deck, and down to the hot tub, and more floor-to-ceiling windows, which let in lots of natural light, and showcase the incredible views. The adjacent Master Bath includes a large, two-person, walk-in shower.

Both guest bedrooms have Queen beds, with top-of-the line linens & bedding, and the guest bathroom also has a double, walk-in-shower.

Outside, the multi-level, wrap-around, deck, provides the peace and tranquility that mountain life offers. Just off the living room, and off the master bedroom, the upper portion of the deck is home to several, comfy rockers, where you can enjoy your morning cup of coffee... an afternoon with a good book, or an evening with the moon & stars. The lower portion of the deck leads the way, down a stone pathway, to the screened, lighted & furnished, European hot tub cabana. The steps down to the fire pit area below, are also reached from this portion of the deck.

Once you're here... you may find yourself wanting to stay forever, or... at least wanting to come back again and again!

Amazing scenery
Pictures don't do this property justice. It was breathtaking. Couple that with comfortable beds, and just a short drive to Chimney Rock, Asheville, or Black Mountain made for a perfect weekend getaway.

Literally Heaven On Earth!!!!!
This was our annual "Girls Trip" and I always work hard to find the perfect spot! I FOUND IT!!! It is even more beautiful than the pictures and we didn't want to leave. Debbie and Melissa were very accommodating and their goal was for us to have the most amazing time...and they delivered!! The sound of the waterfall soothed our souls and the jacuzzi was so relaxing! The back deck was wonderful with the rocking chairs and morning coffee! You cannot go wrong with this property and we can't wait to go back!

Excellent!! Great weekend getaway!! Just far enough out to enjoy the peace and quiet, but close enough to go to Chimney Rock Village in just a few minutes! And Lake Lure is just a little further but still close by! Highly recommended!

Immaculate, beautiful cabin with waterfall
This cabin in Bat Cave is in the perfect location: a couple of miles from Chimney Rock and Chimney Rock State Park, and 30 min from Asheville, Black Mountain, and other cute little towns! The cabin was immaculate, it has a beautiful waterfall in the backyard. Plenty of space for our family of two adults and a 19 year old and 17 year old. It has everything you need to grill and cook, and the ice maker makes plenty of ice so you don’t have to worry about buying any. The washer and dryer work well and the dryer is loud but dries your clothes super quick! We spent so much time on the back porch rocking and watching the waterfall. The beds were super comfy and the master bed adjusts up and down. The hot tub was very nice and relaxing after long days of hiking and kayaking. My only complaint, which wasn’t really a big deal, was that I emailed the property manager a day or two before we left to ask a question and never received a response, but I realized it might have been better to call, because I called to ask a question on our departure day and they called back right away and were very helpful and friendly. Also, they start you off with a roll off paper towels and TP and a small bottle of dish detergent, etc which was very helpful. The showers were awesome and plenty of towels were provided so that you don’t have to wash towels constantly. I would definitely come back, such a wonderful place!!!!

The location and view were great, the details were not.
The good... The views were great, the beds were comfortable, the appliances worked, the location was close to chimney rock and lake lure, the management team responded to emails. The internet was good enough for wifi calling on our phones which was good for emergencies but don't rely on it for Netflix. The bad... The guest bathroom really needs a different/longer shower curtain or system. The water pressure is extremely high (which we liked) but it throws water all over the bathroom. There are marble tile floors that become like ice when wet and even using multiple towels, the floor still gets wet. Also the way the natural wood butts up to the shower wall causes the wood to get wet and create mold/mildew behind it. In the same bathroom, there was a terrible smell coming from the wall that has a window. As our stay progressed, the smell got worse. We later found evidence of mouse activity and based on the smell of what seemed like a dying animal, we closed off that bathroom, left the exhaust fan on and sealed the bottom with a towel. Unfortunately the bordering bedroom still had the smell but not much else we could do. I notified the management company during the stay just in case another renter was coming soon after our stay. At check in, we noticed the fire pit and surrounding area had burnt beer cans, broken and unbroken bottles and old embers scattered around on the ground. We picked up the area the best we could just do our kids wouldn't step on anything. Notified the management company as well. There are lots of natural wood wall paneling which look great but if you have bad allergies to dust, stay far away. They catch every piece of dust in the air and unless they vacuum the wood with a brush attachment, I don't see how they would be able to get rid of it. I wish our stay could have went better especially paying the price we did. We essentially rented a 3bed 2 bath but only could use 2 bed and 1 bath for our entire stay. No updates from the management company since our check out. Until the rodent situation gets resolved, I would recommend to look elsewhere. We did not check the individual rodent traps placed in and around the cabin.

Peaceful Paradise
The house is beautiful inside and out. The waterfall on the property is gorgeous and the sound of the running water is incredibly peaceful. We had a wonderful stay and didn't really see anyone else while we were on property so it felt like our own peaceful oasis.

Trip to visit North Carolina for the first time.
We had a wonderful experience seeing the beautiful foliage, the Built More, shopping, golf and dining. We stayed in the Cabin and cooked one evening. We even experienced seeing a bear. Only wish we had more time to enjoy the cabin and hot tub a few days longer. Absolutely loved the cabin. Would definitely recommend it to friends.

The property was just as stated. Peaceful, cozy, super convenient to all our activities. The beds were oh so comfortable! Only downfall was lack of cell service. When we needed to call the manager, we had trouble connecting. Might be nice to have a landline available. Oh, and the dishwasher needs to be open when you push start. We thought it was broken at first until we figured that out!!

The owner has spared no expense for this mountain retreat with a spectacular view of the mountains and a rushing waterfall .The interior is expansive and comfortable. Our party chose to stay onsite for most of the week. Easy access to the cabin as well as unloading/loading. Making plans to book it for a week next summer. Three steps into the place with no steps to the decking over the waterfall. Grandma will have a great vacation with her family.

Absolutely Beautiful & Refreshing
The creek and waterfall was gorgeous. The house was rustic with high end finishes. Very, very nice. Everything it said it was! The first night I did have to wait for hot water because it's a tank less water heater, but no longer than ten minutes maybe. The hot tub was not used but that area was also very nice. Will most definitely stay again!
