The staff at Villa Maia are exceptional. Always kind and smiling, helpful and attentive. They made a wonderful stay truly exceptional. The room was delightful. We were on the second floor with has a partial view of the city due to the large trees outside the window. A third floor stay would have unobstructed views. The pool and spa are excellent.

We were able to check-in early. The receptionist was friendly, helpful and professional. Our room (504) was well equipped and nicely decorated. The shower had good water pressure and the bed was comfy. We had a coffee machine, air conditioning, kettle and a room safe. The hotel has been decorated to a high standard, and all staff we met were friendly and made our stay a great experience. Location is great for bars, cafes and restaurants. On checking out, the receptionist kindly arranged a taxi to take us to the station. In summary, a great hotel. Highly receommended.

"Been staying here on and off for over 10 years. Great staff good restaurants/bar but the property needs money putting into it. Broken fittings, broken toilet seats, broken air conditioning. Lots of staff milling around but no progress being made with improving the building"
