"We had a wonderful autumn holiday in this villa. Mahil received us very kindly and the house was fully equipped. (Towels, bed linen,, hairdryer, dishwasher tablets etc). The kitchen was very well equipped, the beds comfortable and a good shower in the bathroom. There was plenty of things to keep you entertain in the garden too. "Our stay was horrible. We spend 2 nights at the house. When we arrived our kids jumped into the pool. The swimming pool filter was not working. (We found out later) The same night they both got very sick. The house was very dirty end didn’t smell fresh at all. When we were cooking in the tiny kitchen we found some hair in the pan and we lost our appetite. The second night we woke up in the middle of the night because there were big hoornaars in the bedroom off the children. Later in the night...

"Was für ein wunderschönes Haus und ein toller Garten mit Swimmingpool. Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt hier. Die Gastgeberin/Gastgeberin ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es ist schön, dass sie auch Niederländisch sprechen. Das Haus liegt nur wenige Gehminuten vom Dorf und dem Fluss entfernt. Wunderbar zum Kanufahren."

"An immaculately clean and well presented house in a lovely, scenic village. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, particularly sitting on the sun-trap terrace, looking over the river, that leads straight off the living space. "This was a good option for a base when visiting the region. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable, if a little strangely designed. A lack of sensible plug sockets (we had to boil the kettle on the floor!) and the water from the shower went everywhere because there is no shower tray - yet is not a wet room! We found parking stressful, we arrived late at night and found no spaces free thanks to inconsiderate parking from guests, the hotel would do well to mark acual spaces. We did squeeze our tiny car alongside the bins for overnight, and then after heading out early could not get a space at any other time during our stay. The night porter did help us at one point by explaining that the street parking would be ok overnight as long as we moved again by 8am. Given that we were on a three week road trip we had a very full car and this wasn't ideal. We would have liked to try the restaurant but couldn't as they seemed to stop serving earlier than advertised. We were told it was 'fully booked' at around 8pm despite lots of empty tables, we think they just didn't like that we hadn't pre booked. All in all this hotel was good enough and comfortable for a short stay and maybe better if you are less busy and have less luggage, but for us it just has a few fracture points that in all probability would not encourage us to stay again. The town is charming and we found good options for both breakfast and later dinners, just don't go out too late as the options dwindle."
