"This property met all expectations! As advertised, it was located in an area away from most everything except the ocean, the beach, quiet and a sky full of stars! Communications with the host was excellent. Even better was the housekeeper (Nikki) meeting us at the airport and taking us to our rental car, grocery store and bakery. Nikki then led us to the house and explained all the important features. Cat Island is as laid back as you can get and the people are helpful, polite and friendly. All...

"The property is beautiful and we enjoyed our stay. However, the listing was a bit misleading—only one bedroom and the bunkhouse were accessible, not the three bedrooms and baths advertised. There was no access to a washer/dryer, and the upstairs shower had very low water pressure. The upstairs bedroom and bathroom also lacked window coverings, which made privacy an issue. That said, the host was responsive and assured us these concerns would be addressed with the property manager."

"This was our second stay at this same location, and we have all just fallen in love with this area. When our daughter, who is a senior was given her choice in Spring Break trips, she didn't hesitate to pick this beautiful place, and we couldn't have had a better time. It was literally everything our family needed, and we hope to come back in the future!"

"The view from this location is stunning and the beach is beautiful. A few things I wish we would have know before we went: 1. When we got to the house their was no fresh water. Be sure you pick up a 5 gallon jug of water before you come to the home. 2. Due to high rains the roads were flooded so it took as quite a while to get to and from the grocery store. The location is remote so you don't want to have a flat tire. Be careful of the potholes. 3. A.J.'s convenience is closer than Gilberts...

"Greenwood Beach must be one of the most beautiful beaches in all The Bahamas. The house is very modern, clean, has every amenity and kitchen gadget one could wish for. Great floor plan. I hope to return to this property again and again. Because the location is quite a ways from town having a rental car is a necessity."

"My mom and I absolutely loved our recent stay at Banana Winds on Cat Island! The location was stunning—right by the ocean—and the home was incredibly comfortable, well-equipped, and relaxing. It was hard to leave the house because it was so peaceful and beautiful.The locals were absolutely lovely, and the caretaker, Harrison, truly went above and beyond. My mom has alpha-gal syndrome, and this was her first time traveling with it. Harrison not only prepared two delicious, completely safe meals for her, but he also used fresh fruits and vegetables straight from his own garden—which made everything even more special. His thoughtfulness took so much stress out of the trip. He also gave us several personal recommendations for amazing beaches and places to explore—we discovered some real hidden gems thanks to him.We were also able to safely eat at a few restaurants, including Hidden Treasures and Greenwood, both of which were incredibly accommodating and caring about her allergies.I usually don’t return to the same place twice—I want to see as much of the world as I can—but this is one place I know I’ll be back to. I can’t wait to bring friends and family here and make it a regular part of my life. We truly can’t recommend it enough for its beauty, comfort, and the incredible kindness we experienced."
