“The Walsh's home is a perfect haven. Everything was exactly as noted with beautiful details to all the remodeling done. The location is on a relatively quiet road that is about 2 miles from end to end and makes a perfect walk in the AM or PM. You may have a few sheep or others who demand a photo or two. Short distance to Cong and Ballinrobe, Oughterard, and Maam area are lovely to explore. Michael stays in contact as needed as well as gives you space to explore. I will return, hopefully!”

“Our stay was excellent. Beautiful cottage in an excellent location, close to Castlebar with good road connections for touring the beautiful county of Mayo. The hosts Declan and Laura are very welcoming and very accommodating. Absolutely lovely people. A real genuine "Cead Mile Failte" is felt here. “We had a great stay house was really clean and comfortable but unfortunatly it is about 20 km from the train station as it says on website its 15 min walk so we had to get taxis in and out of town which was 30 euro each way Also they don't have credit card facilities so the money had to be revoluted or cash and we weren't informed of this untill day 2..”

“For us 4 anglers on the River Moy (Armstrong route) an ideal starting point. Short distances to our fishing route. On the whole we were also satisfied with the accommodation. Except for a few shortcomings that I would like to describe. We were particularly surprised at the unacceptable dirt that came out after the bed linen had been removed. All pillows were so dirt and blood stains that are not tolerable. The pan for the stove is so dirty (dirt burned in) and can no longer be used! The existing...

“Das Haus ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge und gleichzeitig ein schöner Rückzugsort. Die Einrichtung ist schon etwas beansprucht, aber ausreichend. Wir waren zu dritt unterwegs, der Platz war also recht gut. Plus: detaillierte Karten (1:50.000) vorhanden und viele, viele Bücher zum Lesen.”

“It was nice and quite, just to hear the road sometimes. It was easy to check in and out and the owners are very friendly. Just the house need a bit more cleaning. There are many spiders and spider webs. And the beds would be better if there get some new mattress.”
