“The cottage is a converted farm building with an eclectic collection of furniture which proved quirky but comfortable and our host was very friendly and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our few days there. The steps up to the mezzanine bedroom are quite steep and narrow so may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues but our adult son had no problems ”

“The house is lovely and perfect for a family. The location is excellent if you are looking to stay somewhere not right in town, but still close to things. It is also well situated for a nice walk to see neighboring farms, including a friendly pony and donkey pair. Pam is a generous host - she baked us traditional Irish brown bread and stocked the kitchen with a couple of staples. The house had everything we needed and we really enjoyed it. ”

“What a find! Such a comfortable, clean, well equipped and beautifully situated house, in the middle of the Cork countryside, near lots of scenic attractions. Mariza is a 5 star host, welcoming us with tasty bakes and fresh milk and really easy to communicate with - no long waits for an answer. “Easily the worst overnight stay I have encountered anywhere in my travels. We had no working water heater the first 24 hours so none of us could shower. The floors were sticky. We killed two sizeable spiders in the unit. The whole place smelled like chemicals but I couldn’t quite place what they were. Every shower had mold and mildew (and gross amounts of caulking) and mine included a sliver of dried bar soap complete with black speck inside the soap dish. The pillows were the kind you might……
