I booked 2 nights through a third party. There were communications issues, with payment and breakfast. We arrived late to open assigned room with people in it twice. Someone opened our room with their assigned keys our 2nd day.
Staff was apologetic, but these issues should never happen.
Thats said, we liked this hotel for its history, character and charm. Its like a maze in there!
Breakfast was good.
I hope they solve these issues. I would booke here again.

A brilliant location within a short walking distance to the train and bus station and the Castle and other attractions. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The bedroom had a lovely comfortable bed (although a little creaky!) and the bathroom had everything you needed. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of choice.
