We loved the location and view of this property! The photos online of the view of the lake don’t do it justice. It has a large patio that has a great view of the lake. The house is just down the block from the entrance alley down to the lake. By the lake is a stone picnic table and a small little entrance into the water, which has a shallow portion with round rocks and sand and clear water. The kids loved wading in it and collecting pretty rocks. The house itself is a bit on the small side. The main floor has kitchen, living, and small dining area, and 2 bedrooms with queen beds and a bathroom with tub, then there is the downstairs area that has a very large bedroom with the king bed, an extremely small bathroom with shower, and the laundry room. The downstairs bedroom opens up to the outside, under the main part of the patio. Closet space was adequate except for one bedroom upstairs that was occupied by hot water heater and HVAC vent. Everyone just used their suitcases as closets anyway. The house has a heater but no AC. The neighborhood is quiet and gorgeous. We saw deer every day. The kitchen was well equipped. Despite the listing mentioning only sample size toiletries, there was actually plenty of large Costco size shampoo and conditioner, enough toilet paper for a 4 day stay. Only the paper towels were short supply, one roll. We were able to get groceries delivered from the Bellingham Walmart. When we return, I hope to rent this house again.
