"My partner and I didn't quite know what ro expect from "luxury" accommodations in the jungles of Belize. Especially, as a gay couple, we can never be sure of the locals reception of us.
We booked the Luxury Villa room. It was spacious and spotless with a wonderful shower and a comfortable king-size bed. An enormous veranda where you can enjoy a cocktail from the well-stocked mini bar overlooks the pool. There is also a comfortable sitting room and a huge kitchen area where you could prepare your own meals.
The staff, Mel, Elvin, Lucy and Dan are absolutely the most welcoming people you would want to have looking after you while on vacation. There isn't enough space in a review like this to tell how often their truly genuine hospitality made our trip to Belize one of the most memorable vacations we have ever taken.
Mel's meals deseve special mention
What a fantastic cook she is! She even pepared a dinner just for us. There are plenty of places to eat in the area but don't waste your tastebuds going anywhere else. Mel is magical.
Our day trips were flawlessly organized by Dan, who even took a day to give us a personal tour of the area, including the local market, Big Rock Falls and the Mayan ruins at Xunantunich.
Larry has done a wonderful job creating an oaisis of comfort in the jungle. If you want a relaxing vacation with the option of adventurous day trips and outstanding meals this is the place for you.

"Great staff! Beautiful, tranquil cabins. It was difficult to find activities online outside of a group, and the staff helped me secure a tour as a solo traveler. It made my time in the Cayo District so much more special! "
"This was a perfect place to unwind. Beautiful sights and scenery, peaceful, and the people are so nice and helpful. The rooms are clean and the staff is fantastic and go out of their way to accommodate. "
"We stayed here in October 2025 for four nights. This boutique hotel shares a building with a small coffee shop and bakery, where you can conveniently charge items directly to your room. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of many restaurants and tour operators. The staff was friendly and helpful—especially Carrol, who checked us in. The entire property was exceptionally clean—so much so that I wondered if we were the first guests to stay in our room!
The welcome drink was a lovely surprise after a long day of travel, and the bar area was very nice. There’s a water purifier in the shared hallway, which was perfect for filling our reusable bottles. The area was quiet, and it was wonderful to enjoy coffee on our private balcony each morning. Free parking on the premises was another big plus.
The only (very minor) downside is that the bakery/coffee shop doesn’t open until 8 a.m., and there aren’t bulk coffee or breakfast options early in the morning. However, there’s a single-cup coffee brewer in the room, and staff are happy to provide extra coffee packets.
We’d absolutely stay here again—highly recommend!
