Old hotel which needs updating

The staff was very friendly however there was an angry looking older woman who was always glaring at us. The rooms were cleanish but severely need updating. There are pictures of a pool on the website but there is no pool as it is used for storage now. When you walk into the building you’re smacked in the face with the smell of incense and curry and wondering if you’re in the mountains of Pennsylvania or a casino with gambling machines and massage chairs in the lobby. The continental breakfast consists of store bought pastries, a waffle machine, toast and bagels, and a bowl of fruit. If you don’t care about these things then it’s a great and convenient place to stay.

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn in Cooperstown and wanted to share my feedback regarding our experience. The hotel is one of the newer options in the area, and we appreciated several aspects of our stay. The complimentary breakfast was a highlight for us, offering a variety of options to start our day. Additionally, the availability of free parking and the friendly staff at the front desk made our experience enjoyable. However, I did notice some areas for improvement. While the housekeeping staff came by daily, I found the overall cleanliness of the room could have been better, especially as a mother of a one-year-old. I would rate the housekeeping efforts a four out of ten. Furthermore, the pool didn’t appear to be regularly cleaned, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, but I would love to see more attention to detail in housekeeping to enhance the experience for families. Thank you for considering my feedback.
