The stream was more than a mile from the house, as were all facilities. It is cozy and has a bathroom with tub as well as another toilet off a bedroom, which to me was a bonus. Lots of space outside on three sides of the house to relax and enjoy the outdoors too. We made use of the front porch swing in the mornings when it was cool out. Nice that the kitchen does have essentials and I didn't have to run to the store for those. Had some nice outside areas, covered front porch, side patio and rear deck, but took some work to get them cleaned up because of all the surrounding vegetation debris. The vegetation is nice because it gives you a little more feeling of privacy even though the houses are very close together but it does make a mess. We wanted peace and quiet rather than hustle and bustle and that’s what we found. Very quiet, very little traffic. We enjoyed walks around the lake and trails by the creek. We made a trip to Grandfather Mountain. The weather was perfect. Unfortunately our trip was to short to do all that the community has to offer. We did walk down to the pool and recreational areas.
