"We had a total of 12 people in our group and this property setup was perfect. People ages 8 months to 65 years. Location was great for exploring Snaefellness but not too far away from Reykjavik to discourage golden circle activities. Road is pretty easy to find, don’t need 4x4 but take it slow. Need cell phone access for getting to the property. We got to see northern lights while there so that was nice. Absolutely recommend staying here"

"We had a great stay at Nes! The house was spotless and we appreciated all the amenities, such as the hot tub and fireplace. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were nice and stocked with plenty of towels and essentials like shampoo/conditioner. Kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dishes, good knives and other cooking utensils, and spices. "The hotel was perfectly situated in the mountains and gave a stunning view of the landscape. The family apartment was clean, spacious, and nicely renovated to allow for all the amenities we could need including a full kitchen with an oven, stove, microwave, and full-sized fridge. We also used the washer/dryer every single day and went home with all clean clothes. The owners were kind and accommodating - even in a crazy storm, they came by to check on us and see if we needed anything! Food at the hotel restaurant was delicious, too. We will definitely be returning. 10/10!"

There’s no breakfast served during the winter but there is coffee/tea and some biscuits and spreads laid out for travellers which was very nice! "We had donner and breakfast at the hotel. The dinner menu was limited as it was out of season but the beefburger was nice. Breakfast was good. Only reason I gave it 3 stars as it was really noisy. A number of cars parked in front of reception and I was awoken at 1am by a bunch of noisy people having snow ball fights and making alot of noise. They were there for a really long time."
