"First off, I expected a lot more from this place. It is dubbed as a "luxury" houseboat, but it had very little hospitality. There was a "welcome bag" in the kitchen with 1 roll of toilet paper (why not just put it in the bathroom??), some cleaning cloths, enough coffee for 2 cups, a tiny pouch of soap for one shower and some trash bags. I don't speak any Dutch but had no difficulties as the staff (including the waiters) spoke excellent Englsh - there was even an English menu in the dining room. I arrived in the late evening when the reception was closed, but the staff had kindly left my key in a safe place. The rooms are named after animals, I was in the SHEEP room which had lifesize and authentic-looking toy sheep on the carpet as well as sheep motif on the curtains and a huge ram picture on the all next to the bed. The room was immaculately clean, the bed comfortable. I would return.
