No breakfast is served; but we picked up berries, yogurt the night before, and walked to get baguette/pastries in the morning, as the French do! Having said that we had as little or as much contact with them as we needed. In our case we were seeking a quiet week away from 'tourist land' where we would be comfortable and undisturbed.
