“Great place to explore the nearby areas (Pitlochry, Dunkeld). We needed a space for 4 and a Bernese Mountain dog and it was a good size. Place was clean and had everything we needed. Once we figured out the heating system, it was all good. Would happily come back in warmer weather to take advantage of the BBQ.”

“The modern kitchen, beautiful grounds and historic stairways and rooms were so clean and comfortable for us. I was impressed because it’s not easy to keep such an old property in such a clean condition! I even had a bath one night. We loved exploring the woods and small stream around the house as well as getting out to other spots around Scotland. The house was out of the way but easily accessible even for those used to driving on the other side of the road! Loved our time here. Only downside……

“Lovely new property - had everything you needed and very spacious. Only thing was we couldn’t find instructions for the cooker and to put the hot water on but we nipped over to reception and they were helpful (with the hot water and we worked out the cooker!!). Von hier hat man einen idealen Ausgangspunkt nach Stirling und Edinghburgh und kehrt anschließend in eine herrliche Idylle zurück. Die Gastgeber sind sehr warmherzig und offen und haben uns wertvolle Tipps für unseren Aufenthalt und unsere Ausflüge gegeben. “Just had a three night stay here and couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay. A good location for visiting Edinburgh and Stirling although plenty to do in the local area as well. The host Lorna was very close by and the local pub being next door also helped. Would highly recommend and will visit again for sure. ”

“We really enjoyed our stay at Thimblewynd from Aug 09 - 24 and would recommend cottage to others. Cottage was ideally suited for two of us. Loved the character of the house combined with the modern amenities i.e. updated upstairs bathroom. We loved the location in Dunning with a short walk to local Nisa store that had a great selection of items, and the lovely Kirkstyle pub just down the road.
