Drive south on the Ruta 5 to villages such as Anisacate and La Bolsa, set on the Segundo River. In Villa Serranita, the La Serranita Recreational Park has a hedge maze, miniature golf, giant chess and other family friendly games. Relax at beaches and waterfront restaurants around Los Molinos Dam. Admire views of mountains and woodland and try Jet Skiing, wakeboarding and windsurfing.
Travel into the foothills of Mount Champaqui and spend time at the Swiss-German town of La Cumbrecita. Here, bakeries, teahouses and pubs occupy alpine-style buildings. Hike trails to Cascada Grande waterfall, Lago de las Truchas lake and 5,627-feet (1,715-meter) high Cerro Wank. Zip-lining, natural trails and a treetop suspension bridge are some of the activities at Peñon Del Aguila adventure park.
German traditions and Bavarian-style architecture and cuisine characterize Villa General Belgrano. Visit in October for the annual Oktoberfest beer festival.
