When we arrived the checkin when smooth abd trouble free. The concierge was friendly and helpful. Once settled we wentvto the pool area. The pool room was a frosty 18 degrees Celsius. So we called and asked to have the heat turned on. In the meantime we thought we would sit in the hot tub. We get in the hot tub and find it lacking water, had sand/debris in it. Told the staff and left. They said they were on it. The following day we went back to tge pool and it was now 15 degrees, there were NO towels and the Hot tub was Still full of sand/debris. We wont be returning to this hotel again.

At the booking with Expedia, it did not say it was under construction. Smell pain We were hoping to use the Jacuzzi but it was out of order. Expedia must have informed us. Not Hotel problem. I think it is Expedia’s issue

We had terrible time checking in. Adolfo - he was not helpful, front desk was terrible. The front desk worker ask and demand a deposit, not letting my elder mothers check in or pay with cash or debit for the deposit. I don’t understand why a deposit is needed when the room is payed for and my credited card is and was on file and it’s been payed through Expedia. I had to drive hour to bring my credit card to pay for there deposit, This is not acceptable. My mothers have been traveling all day and I have booked all there hotel though Expedia and not once they had this problem. Something is not right here, very disappointed.

we rented a suite..with small kithcen type area..no dishes, no glasses....then no running water when we got up. I realize this was maintenance, but we didn't know until we had already checked in. Staff would only give paper cups....wine and paper cups

Ongoing construction is kind of annoying. But you can’t expect it to be convenient when upgrades are being completed. Still my favourite place to stay when I’m in Calgary. 4 out of 5 stars.

Never have issues while staying here. The updates to the rooms are nice and I quite enjoy my stays here when I’m in Calgary. Cons: on going construction with Reno’s, but not a major issue. Usually just parking spaces are limited if they’re booked up. Other people staying there can be an issue with their kids running in the hallways. But no big concerns. It was kinda noisy from the traffic, but it’s minimal at times.

Stayed in the newly renovated rooms, excellent. Only problem was the door. It took repeated swiping to get the door to open. Then the gap in the door, as it wasn't closing properly, someone could take a screwdriver and wedge the door open. The hotel staff were aware of this and checked on us and offered to change rooms, however the stay being only 1 night, I wasn't worried. It's odd with the renovation they wouldn't opt for the tap key cards vs the swiping kind. Walls were a bit thin as we could hear our neighbours entire conversations. But the new renovations are wonderful! Very nice bathroom, tv, beds.

The hotel is currently under renovations. A fact that was omitted when booking and speaking with hotel prior to our arrival. The hot tub was broken and has been for some time also. The evening front desk person was abrupt, dismissive and rude. I asked simple questions like why did we have to provide my credit card again when the room was prepaid (they phone the day before to do this). It old him three time our phone was broken and instead of sending someone to fix it, he argued that there was a second phone in our room to use (which there wasn't). He said he would "phone up to verify". We needed the phone as the roomkeepers kept taking our towels even though they were hung up. We were in a family suite and they would leave us with two towels. We would go to the front desk in the evening to get towels and they would be gone again in the morning. It looked looked like many people had to self serve the towels. We also had to make the pop out bed ourselves which is OK, however one of the sheets in the package left for us was disgusting. We again had to go down to the lobby (still no phone) to get a new sheet. One of the elevators wasn't working most of the time. Water was turned off one day (no notice) presumably due to the construction. The construction noise wasn't terrible, however it was constant and would have been nice to have had notice this was happening. This and the broken hot tub would have automatically made us choose somewhere else. Live hanging wires

Other than the updating construction at the hotel it was a good stay. I like the upgrades they did to the rooms. Very modern and welcoming. I did notice the drains need to be looked at, they didn’t work properly in the hot tub. It was a good stay, no issues other than the maintenance concern.
