Alberta Hotel & Resort Travel Guide

Canada is famous for its beautiful wilderness with towering mountains, cascading waterfalls and green cedar forests that stretch as far as the eye can see. Within Canada, Alberta is a province that is gifted with kilometers of this stunning landscape. When you choose Alberta hotels, you will be plunged into a world like you may never have known before, one that offers you many outdoor experiences and other fantastic excursions. Keep all of these options in mind when you book rooms in hotels in Alberta so that you can choose hotels near the hot spots and popular sites.

You could start by looking for cheap hotel deals in Alberta that are located within the Banff National Park, one of Canada's treasures. Situated against the backdrop of the Canadian Rocky Mountains, Banff is a nature preserve that offers incredible vistas, hiking trails, steams, rivers and much more. The Alberta hotel deals in the mountains are particularly popular because there is nothing quite like waking up to the sun coming up over a wooded valley as it sweeps down below you, washed in gold from the early morning light.

If you love history and science, you could choose Alberta hotel packages in the Canadian Badlands. As the name implies, this area is rather wild and untamed. Among hoodoo rock formations, you will find the fossils and bones of the dinosaurs that once roamed the Earth, preserved for all time. You can stop by some of the top centers in the country for fossils to view presentations and read the best literature by those who have been working in the field for years. Reservations are needed for some events, but much of what the Badlands has to offer is just a raw landscape for exploration.

Canada has hosted the Winter Olympics for a reason, and Alberta has some of the most impressive skiing and snowboarding parks in the world. A cheap Alberta hotel deal at one of these parks gives you special access to the slopes. There are often discount rates in the low season, but you also have to keep in mind that the prices should not be all that drive your decision; after all, the high season has the best powder. Whether you are a first-time skier who just wants to learn the ropes or an experienced snowboarder who wants to take to the backcountry trails, you will have fun for hours on end.

My wife and I were looking for a place to stay that wouldn't break our budget, but would be nice enough to be comfortable in. We chose to stay in the "Junior Suite". We were really happy with the room and the hotel. Right from the check-in experience the staff were fantastic and helpful. Our room was clean and bright when we opened the door. We took advantage of the coupon book the concierge provided us with. When we noticed our room didn't come equipped with an iron/ironing board, the staff were helpful and brought one up to us right away. We were happy with the proximity to all the shops and restaurants as well as popular hiking spots. One thing that would improve the likability of this hotel would be to update the decor, paint, hardware in the rooms and buildings. I believe this would go a long way in attracting more tourists and locals from nearby cities. As well, we had walked to a local restaurant and it started pouring rain and there was no courtesy vehicle to come pick us up and we had to walk back in the dismal weather (although they did inform us they had complimentary bus passes we could have used). All in all it was a pleasant stay and we would stay in this type of room again at this location.

I was pleased with the room. The hotel carpet in the room was a little worn and dirty. The long distance charges were very high compared to other hotel I stayed at the day before. Almost $1.00 per minute at this hotel which was unfortunate.

Everyone of the crew starting from the door to anyone you'll see can help you and will help you. I was blown away when I requested a spoon and fork since keg forgot to include those on my to go bag, seconds after I heard a knock and here comes my fork knife spoon and plate and a napkin too. My to go container suddenly became a fine dining inside my room. It's really beyond your expectations.
