The place had a lot of potential, it just felt neglected and unloved. They had gone to a lot of effort to supply breakfast items in the shared kitchen and it was obviously visited each day by a host as it was tidied and rubbish cleared but some cupboards had random packets and crumbs,the salt and pepper pots were dirty and sticky. It just needs a bit deeper clean and there was piles of rubbish just outside the kitchen.
The room was also a bit tired. Beds were comfy and there was tea, coffee, kettle and fridge but the wardrobe door was blocked from opening by a wonky cupboard door and the inside was really dusty. Good shower and plenty of hot water.
The outside is awful -we felt intimidated turning up on the first evening. The front door and windows were filthy and had old faded paper signs with check-in instructions...this could so easily be cleaned up and made inviting.
Overall it was ok but with a little attention to detail could be so much better.
