The property is beautiful! The entire insides of the house were burned at one point after his family sold the property. It was rebuilt inside when someone purchased it but once it was turned into a historical landmark, renovations began to take it back to it original interior. They are following the original plans that Thomas Jefferson created with the help of actual letters that were written to Jefferson’s head contractor at the time the house was being built. It’s going to be beautiful! Sad it’s not the original interior. But has a very interesting story! It $13/pp to tour but worth it!

"Stayed here for a getaway after the holidays. Beautiful cabin, clean with all the amenities. We really enjoyed the wood burning fireplace and fishing from the dock - caught a couple nice sized catfish. Hosts were readily available for any questions or minor issues. Will look to stay here again. "
