The property is beautiful! The entire insides of the house were burned at one point after his family sold the property. It was rebuilt inside when someone purchased it but once it was turned into a historical landmark, renovations began to take it back to it original interior. They are following the original plans that Thomas Jefferson created with the help of actual letters that were written to Jefferson’s head contractor at the time the house was being built. It’s going to be beautiful! Sad it’s not the original interior. But has a very interesting story! It $13/pp to tour but worth it!

"This is cottage is everything you see in the pictures and more. It is beautifully decorated and fully stocked with everything you need to make you feel at home. "We had a great stay at the farmhouse at Peaks of Otter Winery in Bedford, VA! My husband & I needed rest and relaxation and the stay at Elmo's Rest farmhouse did not disappoint!!
