Escape to a serene world at this peaceful cabin, set beside a gentle creek with its own tiny waterfall. Enjoy 150 acres of land to hike, bike, fish or simply relax by the fire pit area in the shared pavilion.
Tucked away in nature, Cottonwood Cabin offers a peaceful escape from the busy world. Surrounded by trees and set on 150 beautiful acres, it’s a place to slow down, breathe deep, and enjoy the outdoors.
This cabin is located in a shared space on the property near two other cabins, Stone Ranch pavilion and a large shared fire pit—perfect for relaxing evenings and gathering under the stars. While you may see other guests nearby, each cabin still offers its own comfortable space to unwind.
You’ll have access to the full property to explore, including ponds, a nearby creek, and plenty of room to hike, bike, fish, or simply take it all in. The ponds and creek are just a short walk away, offering a quiet place to enjoy the water and surroundings.
Kayaks are available for exploring the ponds or floating along the creek, and you’ll likely meet some of the friendly animals that call the property home—goats, mini cows, a potbelly pig, chickens, cats, and a very friendly dog.
Inside, each cabin is set up for simple comfort, with linens, towels, pillows, blankets, a mini fridge, microwave, pots and pans, coffee pot, dishes, cups, and silverware provided.
Nights are especially peaceful out here, with very little light pollution—perfect for enjoying the fire and a sky full of stars.
A few quick notes: fishing is catch-and-release, the waterfall depends on rainfall, a waiver is required at the start of your stay, and no smoking inside the cabins.

We enjoyed our stay in the Cottonwood cabin. It was so peaceful and quiet, and we could focus on the two of us.... and the kayaks were an added bonus!!
Our family had an awesome time! Wish the water was higher for swimming and fishing, but we still had a blast! Very quiet and secluded to get away from busy life. Would definitely recommend for your next family stay!
We loved our stay at Cottonwood Cabin. It was so peaceful, there are only 3 cabins in the loop. The fire pit and grill area were so nice and the creek was a nice addition!
We had an awesome overnight stay at the Stone Ranch. The cottonwood cabin was perfect in so many ways. My boys loved the ranch dog Denali and having a go at catching a chicken. Fishing, golf carting, paddle boating, s'more making, and getting lost from the hustle of city life made our stay splendid.
Great place to bring the kids. Many activities boating, golf cart riding, big fires, and lots of fishing. They supplied everything from the wood to the kayaks. Will be returning for sure.
This was truly a relaxing enjoyable place to stay and we appreciate the good hospitality and facilities here. The shower was a little bit difficult to control the temperature and the bed was smaller than we were expecting. However we enjoyed the kayaking and the grills and the warm welcome thank you
This property wasn't just a location. It was a whole experience! Lots of areas to explore, lots of activities to do and plenty of acres to wander. There was no need to leave the property to keep entertained.
My spouse and I planned a family get away while we were there "getting away". Will definitely be back!
The property and cabin was nice. We came on a rainy weekend but still had some time for a little hike and fishing. Most memorable times was just sitting outside listening to the rainfall and hanging out with our host dog Denali. She will put a smile on your face for sure. The host was very kind and communicative throughout the entire stayed. Great get away from the noisy city life.
This property was truly a hidden gem! Such a cute cozy cabin on a large piece of property! I stayed with my cousin and sister and we had a blast! So much to do from kayaking to swimming in the pond! The golf cart was amazing for checking out the property and getting to and from the lake to swim! The fire pit was a good way to end the night, Scott came down and made sure we got the fire going which was appreciated! Recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing yet fun vacation! Will definitely be returning in the future!
Both my husband & I had a wonderful time! Beautiful woods, peaceful & quiet & we loved the overall remoteness! We definitely plan on going there again when we can get a break from the craziness of the city, work, noise, etc etc! Thank you for being so attentive & Carrie helping us out! Loved Denali (doggie…so gentle! 🐶). Cathi & Randy Scott
Needed to get away with the family for a couple days. The cottonwood cabin and Stone ranch was exactly what we needed! We were promptly greeted by their sweet dog Denali who was anxious to meet our puppy! She is so patient and gentle!
Our boys loved fishing in the ponds and we all had fun kayaking in the creek, grilling and hanging out by the fire in the evening!
It’s obvious a lot of love and hard work went into the land and cabins. It is the perfect place to unplug and unwind as a family. We hope to come back!
I was looking for a quick weekend getaway and happened upon Stone Ranch. Carrie called me before our stay and helped us know what to expect. We enjoyed use of the propane grill and the firepit, and long walks around the property simply listening to the quiet. When a small glitch happened (a refrigerator condensor that froze up!), both Scott and Carrie jumped in to make things right immediately. And of course, if you've been reading other reviews, you know that no review would be complete without a mention of Denali, their friendly dog that enjoys long naps on the porch! I'm sure we will be returning and will recommend to others.
If i could give 10 stars I would!! The property and amenities alone were so impressive! A quaint cabin with access to a grill (propane provided), fire pit (wood provided), and kayaking, just steps away from it all!
Now let's discuss the owners.... THE MOST KIND AND GENEROUS PEOPLE!! They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was everything we were hoping for! My son has asthma, and forgot to bring his inhaler. On a whim i asked if they knew anyone close by that had an albuterol inhaler (the nearest hospital was 20 minutes away), and they asked around and brought us one!! The hospitality of these people was NEXT LEVEL! I will 1000% be returning, and have found my new home away from home!!
We wanted a secluded little getaway. The hosts were highly responsive and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We plan to come back with family to enjoy more. Plan to bring food, closest grocery shopping with options is 25 minutes away (not a bad drive though).
We had a great Valentine’s Day weekend there as it was peaceful and quiet. We will be back this summer with the kids for the fishing, kayaking, and atv riding! The hosts were very accommodating as well.
