  • Welcome to Dragonfly Cottage on Reids Pond! This cozy, 2-bedroom cottage is nestled on a private 1-acre lot, is accessible by an easy drive along the TCH, and is less than an hour from the St. John's airport. Far enough to feel like you've gotten away from it all; close enough to everything to make easy day-trips to all that Eastern Newfoundland has to offer. Perfect for families, a couple of friends, or a romantic getaway. Watch the sunsets from the front deck or the private hot tub, enjoy a fire (indoors or out), hike nearby trails, relax by the water, or check out the nearby golf courses, breweries, or quaint Newfoundland out-ports and towns! Only 5-10 minutes from many amenities including restaurants and grocery stores, with many, many more attractions within a half an hour drive.

This cottage was a little piece of heaven for us. Remote but within an hour max to everywhere we wanted to go. The cottage is so quaint and comfortable- they have created a real home away from home feel. The kayaks were great ! The view of the water and watching the sunsets was beautiful. Perfect close to the city get away!

Wonderful property with amazing hosts! They were incredibly responsive and provided clear, detailed instructions for everything. The cabin is fully equipped with everything you could need for a short or extended stay. We especially loved the two fire pits—one near the cabin and another by the pond. The boathouse was a bonus, stocked with camping chairs, kayaks, life vests, and more! Even the dirt road leading to the cabin was in good shape, if you’re not driving a truck or SUV. This place is now my top choice for future stays!

excellent property

This was an awesome choice for a three night stay in the area surrounding St. Johns. We were welcomed with little considerate touches which included a welcome note and some toiletries, which was not expected. It was super comfortable and super quiet...not a soul in sight, which was perfect for us. Chris replied to every message i sent and was a super host. thanks!!!

The property was absolutely beautiful, from the time we arrived it felt like a home away from home.between Soaking in the hottub watching the sunset, kayaking around the pond and the quiet peaceful nights around the fire was nothing short of amazing. We had an excellent stay at this cottage, enjoyed the hot tub while watching the sunset. The cottage is fully equipped with everything needed to cook meals, read a book, play games and enjoy the outdoors, lake and have a bonfire. The welcome basket was a special touch, included marshmallows, popcorn and more treats. Wish we had more time to spend there.
