This home has a beautiful, large living room, separate dining room, separate breakfast nook and a den that can be converted to an additional sleeping area. Main level features half bath and a new kitchen. All of the bedroom are spacious. The master has a beautiful new en-suite bath.

Property has a large driveway and free on street parking.

Guest Access:
Guests will have complete access to the Property. Your hosts will greet you upon Check-in to to provide access codes and go over the house rules and Check-out Procedures and answer any questions.

The Neighborhood:
Located 15 minutes from all of the excitement in downtown Detroit: Ford Field, LCA, Woodward Ave, FOX Theater, COBO Center, Cork Town and so much more is all just a quick jump on and off the freeway. There is plenty of parking at this home with a private driveway able to fit 4 cars. 10 minutes to Royal Oak & Ferndale, where plenty of restaurants and bars are located.

Getting Around:
The property is situated just a few miles mid town and within minutes of the heart of Detroit. Easy access to the airport, major freeways, Ford Field, Hart Plaza, Detroit Institute of Arts, Comerica Park, Motown Museum, The Guardian Building, Detroit Historical Museum, Fox Theater, Detroit Zoo, Public House, One-Eyed Betty’s, Imperial.

All was well
Everything was great. Highlights were the large master bedroom with the huge TV and rain shower. Kitchen was nice and there’s plenty of space downstairs. The hardwood floors are nice but creaked a lot…takes some getting used to, but wouldn’t deter me from staying here again.

Neighborhood was a little sketchy
All 3 nights our Uber/Lyft drivers would say they wouldn't consider staying in this neighborhood if they 'looked like y'all do'. The gunshots the first night about 12:30 and the street racing made for a great confirmation that it was a good idea we ordered Uber eats each night for dinner. Walked to the 'market' the first afternoon, floor to ceiling safety glass on the whole front wall of the store to protect the booze, tobacco and checkout staff was a pretty good indicator. The argument in the corner about check cashing fees was real comforting, too. Our host was awesome; very friendly, and helpful. The house was quaint; old but kept clean.

Spacious bedrooms, cleat, great place to take a walk. The kitchen had plenty of better than expected pans and cutlery (not often found in VRBO s. A commercial grade kitchen as well.

In short... nice place in a developing city so don't look for Beverly Hill. But spread the love and visit Detroit

First rate property
This is a lovely home, lovingly maintained, and professionally managed. No problems at all at any point in the process. Check-in and -out was super easy; support during our stay was prompt and efficient. The kitchen is well-provisioned and the appliances were all in operating order. Perfect for a reunion of old friends, vacation back home to see Grandma, or a family get-together.

Perfect for ladies staycation
This home is spectacularly curated and styled to the heights. The master bedroom is perfection. The home is so large and spacious. We enjoyed moving from space to space for different activities. Coffee and chats in the master in the morning, breakfast in the nook, lounging in the living room, dinner table large for our entire group. We enjoyed the weekend celebrating my Bachelorette party, relaxing, enjoying the space, and each other's company. The photos do not live up to the beauty of this house. You can tell the management team take their work seriously. I look forward to finding a reason to go back. Definitely book you will not be disappointed.

Terrible neighborhood
I wasn't going to leave a review, but I kept receiving messages wanting me to do it. The house itself was just fine and was well stocked. Communication with the property staff was excellent. The house sits on a nice street, but the surrounding neighborhood is horrible. Safety was a real concern. In fact, I paid for 3 nights and only stayed 1 because we didn't want to be in that neighborhood any longer.

Very Nice Home for Family Gathering
This home is a traditional Detroit home in a university district. This district has its own association with additional security. The home has 5 bedrooms, all with King or Queen beds which was perfect for our party of 3 adult couples, 1 Single adult, and two small children. This was a family gathering in honor of our mother's memorial. Plenty of room to spread out in the living and dining rooms. Good size kitchen with gas cooking. A covered porch with furniture and gas grill. A special shout out to Shelly, our host and the staff of Bijou Real Estate. There was excellent communication throughout our planning and stay...the best we have experienced. Shelly worked with us to have food delivered prior to our arrival and she personally received it. Shelly, please sharpen the cutting knives! I had to say something so no one thinks you paid me for this fine review! No joking, this review was well deserved.

Beautiful home in an established Detroit neighborhood.
Beautiful home in an established Detroit neighborhood. We came into town for my father’s 96th birthday. All of the siblings stayed at the house. And we brought our dad over every day. It was a perfect backyard with perfect Michigan weather. We really enjoyed our stay. I cooked him all of his favorite Italian meals from a well-stocked kitchen. The house was huge with plenty of room for everyone. Would definitely stay here again when we come back to Detroit.

Excellent property in a rapidly gentrifying neighborhood
The listing of the property is very accurate - and check-in, check-out and access to the property manager were a breeze. Nicely decorated older property (about 100 years old) with a tasteful mix of new furnishings and old memorabilia The neighborhood is quiet and we enjoyed our stay in this area.

Great Couples Weekend Close to Detroit
The house offered plenty of room for 4 couples (it's a 5 bedroom) and all of the beds were super comfortable! Our Host was awesome and attentive. The house is very close to Detroit, which made it a quick Uber ride in. The kitchen was well appointed and the house offered plenty of parking for our 4 vehicles. We really enjoyed our stay!

Wedding Weekend stay
Beds comfy, plenty of room, updated kitchen, good location for us for wedding stuff and ended up being a very quiet street. The surrounding area and streets to get to the house were sketchy. You have to keep in mind you are not far from 8 mile area. Nice to have laundry and supplies and would give this rental a 5 star rating except for the proximity to some rougher looking streets and the squeaky floors. It is an older house so to be expected but anytime one of us in the house got up to use the restroom you couldn’t help but wake up every one else.

Beautiful home. Did have some issues that came up but the property managers were responsive.
The house is a beautiful earlier century home that was decorated beautifully. Plenty of towels. The kitchen was not as well equipped as it needed to be. Also did not have working internet for most of our stay. The property managers did respond to our request for kitchen items and hangers (there were none in three of the four bedroom closets).
