"We were warmly welcomed by our hosts. Was a real treat to experience their bath and tea ceremony. Breakfast was traditional and tasty and my partner’s vegetarian alternative was just as thoughtfully put together and delicious. Location was a little way out from the main sights, however, this was better as we were in a charming neighbourhood with many authentic buildings and character away from the busy tourist areas. "Excellent hotel in a beautiful and old building. I believe it was a tea house long ago, now renovated and modernized into a hotel. The staff was very helpful. There are several bus stops nearby, so getting around Kyoto was easy. 7-11 is a few doors down in case you need a quick snack."
