Choosing to stay here you need to keep in mind that it is a 2 star hostel so you can't expect bells and whistles. You have to manage your expectations. That being said me and my partner found this to be the perfect base for our Byron Bay stay. We stayed in a private cube double room and to be honest it's everything we needed. We've stayed in 5 star hotels before and I can honestly say the bed in this hostel was one of the comfiest beds we've ever slept in! We had a fridge to store food and drink & even a kettle with tea, coffee & milk. Please be warned the rooms are not air-conditioned but we did have a big fan on the wall that helped massively! We can't comment on kitchen/ cooking facilities as we did not make use of these. Bathrooms are perfectly functional but could do with some tlc and a more regular cleaning schedule. We made sure we took antibac wipes in with us every time & always where you flip flops in the shower lol! The room was overall clean but could have definitely done with a deeper clean such as upholstery clean & walls/skirtings/Windows. Overall we had a lovely stay here and found the staff super friendly and helpful!

My friend and I really enjoyed our stay at Aloha. Check in was a breeze, the staff were lovely and the rooms were well decorated. We loved the room had both aircon and a ceiling fan and came with additional extras such as a nice beach bag and beach towels. The shared kitchen was an absolute treat too as we didn’t realise we would have access to free breakfast and bottled water! It’s in a great location with a short walk to the beach and town. It’s honestly a perfect place to stay. Would highly recommend!

East on Byron is excellent We will be back

We stayed in the studio. It had a kitchenette - so had a microwave, kettle and toaster. There was no extra cooking supplies - I think the room had one knife and cutting board that were provided for cooking purposes. Basic but there was a communal BBQ by the pool we could use. Bed was comfy enough, comforter was like a fleece blanket in white sheets... not very warm. During our short stay the pool was being serviced and was not usable for two of the days we were there which was pretty disappointing. We weren’t aware of the pool maintenance before we booked. Check in was super easy, parking was a breeze/lots of spaces. The location is great - mind you there is a lot of construction at the back of the property behind the pool, so it was loud during the day.. check out was straight forward. Overall it was clean and basic - does the job.

We stayed at SeaEagle treehouse and it was stunning. Bonus was the washing machine and dryer as this was our last stop before heading back to UK. The local beach is a must
