"Our room had a large balcony and from it during daylight hours we could see the ocean. The hotel is on a bluff but has stairs where guests can walk down to Pismo Beach and walk for miles on the pristine sand and then on the Boardwalk. You can also walk to the cute shops and onto the Pismo Pier. The pier has a Christmas tree lit up at night that you can see from the hotel."

"Excellent location. Very lovely grounds, which connect to a paved path that winds along the strip of hotels along the cliff overlooking the beach and the vast Pacific. Dining options are a short drive away. Staff are very helpful. We didn’t try the pool and hot tub, but they appeared very inviting in better weather. The room was nicely appointed and the bed very comfortable. The only item less than 5 stars is the property condition, which is a bit dated, having been built in the 1970’s. The property overall doesn’t need work, but a room-by-room updating would be in order. For the room we stayed in, the electrical outlets could be moved to be adjacent to the furniture and eliminate the unsightly power cords. The sofa’s woodwork is a bit worn, and could be replaced with a more comfortable one (rolled arms rather than wood frame). Overall, though, a very nice experience and very good value. "
