I loved the location, access to the water, view, clear communication from the host, and it was VERY well stocked.
The host, who lives next door, described to me perfectly where to kayak within the bay to see a shipwreck & let me use one of their kayaks to do so. That was very cool to see!
The only things I would change would be to switch out the furniture for more comfortable pieces & use less harsh lighting (or add dimmer switches). There wasn't a comfy place to settle in & read a book or watch the waves - all of the furniture is very stiff. The beds are also very firm & the lighting is very bright & harsh. We unscrewed a lot of lightbulbs to make it cozier (but screwed them all back in before we left). Just a few tweaks to the furniture & lighting & this would be a very cozy place.
There's a pump that runs when you flush the toilet. When you take a shower you have to stop occasionally, lean out of the shower & manually hold down the button on the pump to drain the shower. It's quirky, but we were okay with that. The pump is very loud, though, and is on the other side of the wall from the main bed, so we had a no-flush rule while the other person was sleeping.
My husband loved the loft to use as a yoga studio.
Overall, we really liked our stay, but with a couple of tweaks it would've been perfect.
