There isn’t formal check-in desk — just exceedingly helpful staff and terrific facilities. The suite, the courtyard, the roof terrace, the pool — everything was so stunningly beautiful and meaningfully crafted, I couldn’t stop admiring the my surroundings and thinking how lucky we were just to be there. Breakfast was delicious - new treats each day! And the staff - wow - we felt so looked after and welcome. The location is good - easy to access the Medina, while also being easy to access taxis. It’s a quiet area, and we slept so well. You must enter through a pedestrian street so no easy luggage drop. Location is excellent (close to the Medina perimeter, in a very quiet location just a few steps from the bustling Medina), inside you’ll feel immersed in the magic of this beautiful country. The food and the great service of all the Staff were the best, everybody was friendly, courteous and professional, making you feel like at home. We will definitely come back to this Riad! The rooms smelled putrid. Food was terrible and not prepared by someone who knows how to cook. Construction going on in main courtyard right below our room for hours including drilling, sawing, and banging - we could not nap. Night before was soccer game where locals came to watch Morocco play in African Cup - TV was in main courtyard of Riad and right below our room so again unable to rest/sleep due to screaming and tons of cigarette smoke. Reception never answered the phone - no one was in charge at the hotel. General Manger was not available despite repeated requests. Owner coincidentally was there one evening and told us that he couldn’t do anything because the general manager is in charge. This place is an absolute scam and should never be billed as a 5 star hotel when there is no service whatsoever. We couldn’t even get extra hangers. Towels and Linens are old and smelly and there are no feather pillows.
