I was pleasantly surprised by my stay, especially after reading some of the older reviews. I initially had concerns about the condition of the hotel, but my experience was much better than I expected. My room was very clean. As soon as I walked in, I could smell cleaning products, which was reassuring. The floors were clean and appeared fairly new, and the carpeting throughout the hotel was in good condition. There were no unpleasant odors, sticky floors, or other cleanliness concerns. The bed was comfortable, and the bedding was clean, with no noticeable stains or damage. I felt comfortable walking around my room in my socks, which says a lot about how clean it felt. I stayed for two nights and was very satisfied with the price and overall condition of the property. The location was also convenient. It was close to the University at Albany, about 15 minutes from the wedding venue I was attending, and approximately 20 minutes from the train station. I’m not sure if the hotel is under new management or has made improvements, but my experience was certainly different from what some of the older reviews suggested. I would encourage others not to base their decision solely on those reviews. This isn’t a luxury hotel, but it was clean, comfortable, affordable, and met my needs. I would have gladly stayed longer and would definitely return.

This is a pretty tired hotel. They have tried to put lipstick on a pic, but needs a lot of work. They have done the rooms a little, but everything else looks tired and run down.

The location is excellent! Very close to RPI and an excellent location if you are planning to check out the Farmers Market in Troy. The staff is very friendly and the hotel is EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN!! The room was perfect. Fluffy towels, nice bed with very comfortable pillows and a HUGE tv. Breakfast was great too. Lots of options, everything was hot, and the coffee was good. I will definitely stay here again!
