The junior suite was dark and dreary it needs some updating that includes the bathroom. The pictured suite online is bright and spacious not like the actual room 432.

Had to wait til after 3 pm for a room but check was nice after that. Everything was very clean. Great location to walk to colonial life area. Unfortunately the bed was very soft and lumpy, but breakfast was great.

I flew over night from the West coast to charlotte and was staying here for a visit to Congaree. Congaree is a pretty small park so after a morning hike and no sleep, I was completely exhausted but still waiting for my ‘stay’ to start. They were able to get me in a room a couple hours before check in so I didn’t have to sleep in my car. Hotel is well maintained and it’s next to a lot of bars and restaurants.
