This property, is one of the most beautiful places on Cape Cod. We adore pets and you are welcome to bring your WELL BEHAVED pup with you. The property is on a private beach steps from your door. We try to provide an accommodation that we would hope for ourselves, and provide everything we can to make your stay with us an exceptionally comfortable and enjoyable experience. We clean and sanitize to The latest protocols, and the dehumidified air system circulates through hospital quality HEPA filters to provide fresh clean air. Both bedrooms have an entry to a large and beautiful bath room. The master bedroom has a large sliding door looking out over the the pond just steps away. The new beds are extremely comfortable and you will get a good night's sleep on them The garden club award nominated landscaping adds to the views of abundant wildlife and magnificent sunsets from your bedroom,, as well as the large picture window in the living room that gives you a wonderful view. The small but well equipped gally kitchen is both beautiful and efficient for vacation meals. The living room with tasteful Cape Cod nautical decor is comfortable And inviting. A 75inch home theatre with premium programming and theatre quality sound system, makes this a place you won't want to leave. For cool nights you have a gas burning fire place to keep you cozy. We provide luxury sheets towels in an immaculately clean environment. The flagstone patio has a gas grill for outdoor cooking. We provide board games for rany days, beach toys for kids or grandkids. We offer fishing rods. Cast to nto the pond a few feet away for a near trophy sized largemouth bass. We provide 4 kayaks, a canoe, and all the water toys for playing in the safe warm clear clean waters of Bucks and John Joseph's ponds . The apartment is the lower level of our home with private entrance and a private yard and patio. We are on a quiet street with parking. We have 2 Trek hybrid bikes to ride the spectacular Cape Cod rail trail nearby. Beaches, golf courses, and stop and shop groceries are all less than 5minutes from your door as are Harwichport and Chatham down town shopping areas. you will find everything in excellent condition,and ask that you leave it as you found it (within reason)

Excellent stay!
We had a lovely stay here. We would definitely come back. Even though we had a little undesirable weather and our whale watch tour was cancelled, Mike and Jo helped us out so we could make it possible another day during our stay. Much appreciated! Our dogs and cat really loved it there and we also very much appreciate that Mike and Jo allow multiple Pets 😀 😊 ❤️. Thank you.

A Home Away From Home
What a lovely space. As nice as the pics are they just don't do it justice. It's a large comfortable space. Jo And Mike thought of everything to make their guests comfortable and lacking for nothing. We loved everything about this rental from the very comfortable bed, expansive bathroom to the very relaxing living room with the surround sound theater TV to the super comfy chairs and sofa. The view out back over the pond is exceptional. We loved sitting out back on the veranda enjoying our morning coffee and watching all the different birds and wildlife. Thank you Jo and Mike for your hospitality. Cannot wait to come back!

Beautiful location!
It was peaceful and beautiful with sunset views every evening! It's a gorgeous location right on 1 of the many ponds in the neighborhood. We enjoyed canoeing, biking and taking in the beauty of Cape Cod. Especially if you have pets, this is a great location for a vacation!

Great place & Dog Friendly!
My partner (from Texas) and me (from Maine) decided to meet up in Cape Cod for some R&R in December and decided on this lovely lakeside property in Harwich. We were very satisfied with our rental and completely satisfied with our hosts! I have a rescue dog I brought with me and it turns out their dog, Daisy, and mine got along famously! Mike and Jo were friendly, available and more than willing to help with anything we needed. The rental was lovely, comfortable, and a great place to use as a base to explore Cape Cod. It was so nice to have the rental to “come home to” and relax after a busy day. It was chilly while we were there and the on-demand gas fireplace was perfect! And we were able to fix meals so we didn’t have to eat out all the time. Overall, I would rate Mike & Jo’s (and Daisy)’s rental as 11 ⭐️s.

A slice of old Cape Cod
We're local and using VRBO while our bathroom is being remodeled. It wasn't easy finding a place that accepted our cats. This place exceeded all our expectations, I grew up in the region and this is what I think of as a classic Cape Cod stay. Solid comfort, a knotty pine living room full of books and a fireplace, beautiful lake views and a pleasant residential neighborhood and convenient walking trails. Very convenient to mid-Cape locations, which for us meant work and school. Our hosts were exceptionally friendly, but gave us plenty of space.

Excellent Thanksgiving stay
We had a great time at this location. It was beautiful and the owners were friendly, very helpful and respected our privacy. The space was just as it was listed on the site, clean, spacious, and homey. We cooked a full Thanksgiving meal with the small kitchen and grill. The site was convenient to lighthouses, shopping, and everything we needed. Our family loved the entertainment center and could watch TV and movies of our choice. We had a great Thanksgiving week!

This is an ideal vacation home: ideal location in Cape Cod, ideal neighborhood; ideal views from every window. The owners are gracious and welcoming though never intrusive. The decor is charming and well placed. The place is spacious and very comfortable. The views of the ponds is calming and beautifully changeable with the sun and cloud patterns. This is a spot to return to often!

Absolutely 100% AMAZING!!
Mike, Jo & Daisy are just simply the greatest. The house was amazingly clean and comfortable, beds are super comfortable, the bathroom was nice and big with a beautiful shower. The views OH the views...they were breathtaking. We even got to see the baby canadian geese flying lessons (thanks Mike). Everything about our stay was perfect and we couldn't have asked for any better. Thank you Mike, Jo and woof woof daisy!! We will definitely be back again!!

Cozy apartment on quiet street
We enjoyed our stay and were grateful for the comfortable couch and chairs in the living room because we had a lot of rain and we were indoors more than we planned. We were also thankful for the use of the 2 bikes as we were able to enjoy the rail trail a couple of times!

Great spot on the lake!
This was a great stay for our family of four, plus our little doggy! The apartment was as advertised and more. The living room and bedrooms are more spacious than the pictures show. For a rental, we found the beds to be quite comfortable too! The kitchenette (microwave, stovetop, fridge) was enough for us to cook what we wanted. We also enjoyed our nights on the porch, grilling and watching the sunset. The neighborhood was calm and quiet, with beach access on the lake only a few steps away. And the location on the Cape was perfect for us, close to so many great activities. Mike and Jo were friendly, attentive hosts and were there to greet us when we arrived!

Great Lakefront Stay
Our 2nd time staying with Mike & Jo and it was just as wonderful as the first stay 2 years ago. The lake is magical, bathwater warm and just washes the stress away. What a wonderful home away from home....
We had a beautiful week staying in the lovely apartment of Jo and Michael. The vacation was everything we could have asked for. The space was beautifully decorated, comfortable, well-appointed and clean. My daughters loved rolling out of bed, grabbing oars and hopping into the pond for kayaking before breakfast. The beds were so comfortable- the most like home that I've ever encountered away from home. And of course, Daisy was a delight. My daughter was thrilled to get to spend quality time with her each morning. We will definitely stay there again, next chance we get. Thank you so much for the best Cape vacation yet.

Tranquil Pondside Getaway
Our time spent at 6 Rainbow Rd in Harwich, MA was truly unforgettable. The location, with its access to the beautiful Kettle Ponds and private beach, was perfect for relaxation and fun-filled activities. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and friendly, making us feel right at home. The availability of kayaks and bikes allowed us to explore the surroundings, creating wonderful memories. We enjoyed the chance to meet the hosts' energetic dog, "Daisy"! She was a welcoming addition to our stay and made us feel even more at home. The property was clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable break. We cannot wait to return for another amazing stay. Unbelievably fabulous stay!
In addition to warm, welcoming, helpful hosts, the house and space itself is ideal: cozy, convenient and with a gorgeous view and easy access to the adjacent pond. The bed and couch/seating was comfortable enough that we barely remembered we were traveling. The bathroom is spacious and well-lit. The kitchen is small -- perfect for a visit for a few days or weeks, especially paired with the grill and picnic table outside. We were walking distance from our morning kayak or idyllic walk with our dog, and an easy drive to nearby shopping, restaurants and the beach. Will definitely return in future and could not recommend highly enough.

Great Cape Cod spot!
The property is located in a great part of Cape Cod. The hosts are friendly and very responsive. It's a lovely place to stay. We started the morning with a canoe ride and ended with a swim in the kettle pond right outside the back door. Highly recommended!

A perfect place to welcome summer!
My partner and I enjoyed a delightful month in Harwich with Michael and Jo as perfect hosts. The setting is idyllic by the pond and the outside porch was a great place from which to watch birds. Spring was ending and summer beginning so we had all kinds of weather and between the cosy inside and the spacious outside we were very content. We will miss the exuberance of Daisy, their dog. The pond is perfect for swimming with a sandy beach and shade when needed. We went to some Cape Cod League baseball and we’re in a prime location. Near Orleans, Chatham and Harwich team fields. Having a good grill helped with easy dining. Overall an excellent month!

The Absolute Perfect Place!
Not only did we feel so welcomed by Mike and Jo (and of course Daisy..woof) the moment we arrived, my husband’s eyes lit up at the sight of the private pond just a few steps away and asking Mike all about the fish he planned to catch (and release!) And catch he did! We loved everything about this rental… first of all that it is pet friendly, the king size bed is so comfy, the HUGE TV is great for lazy evenings, the bathroom is very spacious, and views of spectacular sunsets from the patio are breathtaking. Our bernedoodle, Marlee, had the best time swimming at Buck’s pond which is so clean and steps from the house. The location was perfect and close to the best ice cream spots and seafood eateries, close to Chatham, Brewster and Dennis and only a 40 minute drive to Provincetown for a day excursion. My husband, with fishing pole in hand, asked happily “how did you ever find this place?” We will definitely be back to this gem! Thanks Mike, Jo and of course Daisy!

Can we give this gem a sixth star?
Based on the positive reviews, I decided to give this pond-side property a try for Memorial Day weekend. I was blown away! This is the first time that a property has exceeded my expectations by such a wide margin. It was far more spacious than it appears in the photos and the surfaces literally sparkled due to the efforts of whoever is responsible for the cleaning. The hosts have thought of everything to ensure the comfort and convenience of their guests. The master bedroom was very comfortable and quiet and the kitchen was very well equipped but the pièce de résistance was the enormous tv and surround sound in the living room. Perfect place to enjoy movie night! There were great walking paths for my little dog so even his enjoyment was taken care of. I’ll be back!
