Nice and clean, gorgeous backyard
Very nice place to stay! Short walk to the beach. Definitely need a car to get to food. We had some amazing seafood! One of the beds was very squeaky - couldn't sleep with two people in it. Overall would recommend!

Holiday in Galway
The chalet was in a good position for touring Galway and Connemara. The chalet was a little dated but comfy. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The beach was gorgeous. We were a little surprised by the road noise.

Lovely chalet
We truly enjoyed staying in the Chalet. It was small but cozy and had plenty of room for me and my daughters. Majella was so kind and was always available for any questions or a quick chat. We were very happy that the Chalet was so close to Galway and also Connamarra. All In all we were quite happy with our stay. The only reason there is a 4 rating for location is because traffic makes it slightly difficult to get out of the driveway.

Very comfortable 2-bedroom + living room + eat-in kitchen with gorgeous outdoor spaces, open and undercover, to sit and relax and enjoy the colour and natural beauty of the garden. Great access to drives around and into the Galway rugged landscape. Ferry to Aran Islands is just down the road.

Fabulous
This was an absolutely fantastic little house that we enjoyed for five nights! Proximity to the beach, the pub, restaurants and to other scenic sites was great! I can’t say enough about Michael and Majella , and how accommodating and personable and pleasant they are. I would highly recommend this house. I hope we can come back one day!

Disappointed
I was disappointed as the main bedroom was quite noisy from the road all night. It is the main road along the coast and the house is within yards of it. When I booked I thought we were going to have a place on or very near the ocean. The host told us the beach was a five minute walk away, but it is quite a bit further than that.

Quant and Cozy
The location a short drive east of Galway gets you close to the sea at a reasonable price. The facilities are great and while we had limited opportunity to connect with the hosts we get a great welcoming feeling. I highly recommend and will likely return.

Perfect chalet near ocean
Lovely chalet very private. Thoughtful personal touches throughout. Our favorite stay in Ireland so far. Walk from the chalet down to Atlantic and meander for miles. Marvelous countryside with donkeys cows cats dogs and boulder fences as far as eye can see. Convenient grocery mart close by. Chalet equipped with everything you may need. Super clean and cozy!

Perfect for touring the area
The Chalet is roomy, cozy and well appointed. We used it as a base to explore the Cliffs of Moher, Aillwee cave, Kylemore Abbey and Galway. Convenient, small Tesco down the street for the night we cooked at home. Would love to return to this area to see more and I would stay here again.

Lovely community
We had some difficulty finding the horses as identifying markers for the property but maybe that was because we all were tired. However, once we settled in, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place was small but cozy. We did not feel cramped. The owner was very responsive and recommended places to eat and to listen to traditional Irish music. We went to the local pub on Thursday evening and listened to local folks sing and play the violin, flute and other instruments. It was a great experience. The bartender showed our adult daughter how to pour a Guiness properly. We felt welcomed. Our walks to the beach were enjoyable. We were invited to join the local women for an early morning swim but could not make it. Maybe the next time. Great location to take ferry to Aran Islands and also to visit the Kylemore Abbey. Definitely recommend.

Wonderful space
We loved this home. We stayed her at the end of our 12 day trip to Ireland. It was so comfortable and felt like home away from home. The rooms were spacious and the kiddos were able to have their own room which had two twin beds. The host was wonderful and very helpful. It was so kind of her to leave snacks for us upon our arrival. We would stay her again!

West of Galway
I recently traveled to Ireland with my father and brother. I picked this property because it was close to the Connemara Airport for a morning flight to Inishmore and because it had 3 beds. The property was comfortable and spacious (2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen and living room) and easy to find and the hosts were very nice and accommodating. An added bonus was that there is a beach about a 10 minute walk from the property with views of the Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands in the distance across the bay. A very nice stay. Thank you.

Home away from Home but by the sea!
Charming and cosy home with character in the heart of Connemara. Majella and Michael were so accomodating excellent hosts v thoughtful, just there if you need them. Newly refurbushed with amazing selection of books to read. My husband worked remotely while i watched tv or walked to the nearby beach to check out the seal colony. Busy road with trips to Spiddal to the Ros na Ruin (Irish soap) pub and Padricins for fab seafood and smiles. Would need a car but daily trips to Galway possible by bus too. A lovely memorable and cosy stay. A lot of character and thought put into the home.

Was greeted by Majella and given short tour of home. Was briefed on some local activities in and around Galway. She was extremely helpful and courteous and added that we could contact her any time with questions that we had. Gave advice on local shops. We had a blast mingling with locals at the Pub. Recommend Jillian's pub too. Nice atmosphere with approachable patrons. Look forward to returning and recommending others.
