"Luxury and modern hotel, friendly staff, nice food and pleasant atmosphere with lovely lounge music at the restaurant. Beaches are not overcrowded, beautiful swimming pool area, rooms are just beautiful with stunning ocean views. We were so pleased to see staff welcoming us upon arrival on the hotel pierce. WiFi could be a little bit faster and we also expected to try more exotic fruits, but overall experience was perfect anyway. Thank you."

"We loved our time spent at VARU! The staff was super friendly and helpful! Lea at the Alena Spa was great! Balal took great care of our room and made sure we had plenty of water. Sonu was a fantastic hostess at Lime and Chili. Fiaz was such a sweet waiter, and Rahul was a fantastic manager. The grounds are gorgeous and the water is incredible! We went May 3-9th and the monsoons started about 3/4 of the way through the trip, but we loved it! Cooled the weather down a little bit. Lots of options for food. We never had anything we didn’t like. "

"Excellent customer service, our host Oshama was attentive, kind and always available to help. The hotel and restaurant are gorgeous and the food and drinks also good. The only thing we will add is the availability to go back and forward to Male, since there is a lot of fun that you miss by staying six days in the same place with limited options."

Great service, highly reccommend.

"I'd highly recommend this hotel. We spent a night here before and after going out to the island resorts. The free transfer is a bonus and made it a seamless experience getting from the airport to the hotel and back again. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I also love the attention they pay in not utilising single use plastic for their amenities and in room water bottles. What really made both our stays enjoyable was the incredible service. All of the staff were so friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was easy and enjoyable. Special thanks to Vincent for recognising us on our return stay and organising our rooms to be close together. It's small things like this that sets service apart. We have just returned from 5 days at a 5* island and the service at the Somerset was way better than it was at the island we stayed at. We also had dinner at the in house restaurant which was delicious and very convenient. "
