"Fantisic stay wih friendly,helpfull and lovely staff. Excellent food with large portions,and great choice and standard of catering.Basic but adequate rooms comfortable and equipped will all basic requirement to cover an overnight or longer.we stayed for 3nights using hotel as base for touring the local area and were extremely happy with our time there and would recommend others to give it a try.The only Public Bar in the village but make you so welcome."

"Friendly staff. Beautiful room. No issue arriving late on the ferry from Aberdeen. No parking but easy to find free on the road parking nearby. Lovely and plentiful breakfast but as this was not included in my booking we were surprised to discover it was so expensive (£18 each). Fabulous location which means you can walk to everything in Kirkwall and easily drive to anywhere on the main island. Could be a good base for a long stay on Orkney."
