The hotel was very nice. The rooms were spacious, modern and clean. Great location.
Our stay was the the last of a three leg trip. In comparison to our first hotel in Lisbon a week earlier the hotel failed miserably. No concierge service. It was very impersonal, whereas our first hotel (the Corinthia) was there to assist from the time I made the reservation until the time we checked out, they took care of our luggage from the time the unloaded it from our transport until it was taken to our room. Eurostars Das Letras offered no assistance at all. Starting with the request for transportation from the airport to the hotel. I emailed the property requesting information regarding transportation and they responded with the information I requested and what information they needed from me. I provided my information but heard nothing from the hotel confirming requested transportation. As we got closer to our trip I send another email asking if we were confirmed and I did not get a response. When we did get to the hotel there was one young woman at the front desk who checked us in. Beyond her there was no one. We ate dinner at the hotel the first night and it was without a doubt the worse meal of our entire 10 day vacation in Lisbon and Sao Miguel. I rate the staff one star because beyond one person at the front desk there was no staff that we saw.
