We stayed there a year ago and everything was great. This time we noticed a few changes, which made me think that the hotel must have new management.
When we arrived, we were told that we will be given an accessible room (which we did not ask for and did not need). We were told that the room was more spacious. We were happy to pay for two queen room, but apparently they were all occupied.
The room was ok, reasonably renovated. However, closet rail for hangers was at my waist level. I could not hang my dresses in the closet. There was nowhere else’s to hang them except for maybe shower curtain rail - not practical.
The AC vent in the bathroom did not seem to work at all. Room AC vent was dusty.
When we opened the sleeping sofa and found someone’s deodorant on the folded mattress. The mattress cover had blood stains and hair on it. Called front desk, waited for housekeeping until past midnight, called again (kids tired and sleepy). We were then offered to move to a different room. Finally, after we asked to move the mattress from that different room instead of family of 4 repacking and moving in the middle of the night, someone showed up with a clean mattress.
Unlike in previous years, service at the pool was non-existent this time. No waiters seen anywhere although menus are still hanging on each lounge chair.
Our compliments to Aurelia at the restaurant - very attentive and great service!
