I have visited this hotel for over ten years. It feels like coming home. What makes this one of favourite hotels in the world are the team who work here and who feel like family. Hotel always clean and any issues I have had have been resolved rapidly and effectively.

Nice and quiet hotel but some things need a bit of modernization. Plenty of parking with a large pool. Breakfast ok. Staff friendly and helpful so overall a good place to stay.

We stayed in a room where insects were visible on the walls. The building is old and it is in big time need of repair. Staff were very polite and nice and couldn’t do enough to make the stay pleasant

Once upon a time this was a lovely hotel. I understand that the pandemic took its toll. The area outside was (overgrown bushes and grass). The interior lobby and dining room area were the only things that have been kept up as that is how they made their money (conferences and the like) The rooms are spacious, but the walls and ledges have cracks and missing plaster. The beds were comfortable, air conditioning worked and was necessary or the room would feel stuffy . Linens were changed daily. Showers had great water pressure. Breakfast was adequate but got old for us after a few days (eggs, rice, rice porridge, hot dogs, occasionally they might have fruit). There was a lovely large pool that we did not use. They do allow locals to swim there for a fee so many children were there during the day. Overall our 6 night stay was okay. Hopefully someday they will take the time to update the rooms.

I feel sorry for this once extremely fine hotel. It's simply getting a bit old and tired and is desperately in need of renewal. Unfortunately, given the average price of hotel rooms in Kalasin and the lack of hotel customers in general in the town, I can't see them ever having the financial resources to modernise anything. Aside from that, the rooms are plenty large enough, although that's partly because they are somewhat sparsely furnished. The bed is best described as firm, although again a double room has a large king bed. The lighting is ancient, the bathroom is tired and has no shaver point. But each room has a fridge. Room service didn't pick up the phone the one time I tried and English language amongst the staff is generally pretty poor. Having said that, it's still the best game in town in Kalasin and at the prices charged, it is difficult to be too hard on them. We've stayed there many times and, as we have yet to find better in Kalasin, we will probably stay there many times in the future too.

The old girl is in need of a facelift. She barely survived covid and is operating with a skeleton staff. Drywall repairs that were done 5 years ago when we last visited still have not been taped and mudded. Carpets are getting pretty rank as well. But, since she's the only hotel in Kalasin with a swimming pool, we will continue to book. (We have relatives in town). The staff that is still employed are very good.

We stay here because it's the only hotel in town with a swimming pool. This once grand hotel is showing her age, although it looks like she's recently gotten exterior paint, she's in need of a complete remodel. Staff is great though.

Service goed, goed geslapen, troosteloze indruk

Het geheel is aan renovatie toe, de buitenkant van het gebouw geeft al een troosteloos gevoel. Kamers zijn ruim en heel schoon, maar alles erin is versleten, de gordijnen hangen er gerafeld bij. Maar alles werkt en een goed matras, hard.

A little renovation would go a long way

The property is old, but it must be among the best of its kind in the entire province. They should get rid of the carpet in the hallway of each guest floor as they were moldy and difficult to clean thoroughly. The tub is old but sufficient for a good warm soak. Not perfect but i like it.

Disappointing

The hotel is very big but very old and needs updating badly. Had to change rooms as bathroom ceiling was moldy and the hallways smelled real bad, thinking it was maybe from the carpets which are old and worn. Has potential but needs way too much work to keep up.
