Lake House~ South
Waterfront retreat; Dock space available for your boat in the front of the house. Just come to escape and relax and enjoy watching the eagles fly by at eye level (eight eagles nest surround the lake, with sightings everyday ) enjoy watching the incredible sunsets. Or come play on the lake. Lake Aldred is an eight mile lake known for water skiing /fishing/ kayaking. Formed by two dams on the Susquehanna River in southern Lancaster county. Decks make this the perfect retreat. The main deck off the main level is 960 sq. ft. includes a hot tub and plenty of room for everyone.

Main level welcomes you to your private retreat, the outside flows inside ~ living room floods with windows bringing outside inside. The kitchen opens to the main living area and is fully equipped: microwave, dishwasher ~ pass thru bar to the deck and gas grill cooking. Or cook dinners for those family gatherings. Gas fireplace warms the place on those cool days and plenty of room around the table for everyone. Full bathroom.

Upper Level:
Bedroom 1: King size, sleep number bed, with private dressing area, sink (hair dryer) - spectacular views of the lake.
Bedroom 2: King size bed and private deck to sunbath, yet enjoying views of the hot tub, fire pit and of course the lake.
Laundry room with HE machines & ironing board
Office space if you need to catch-up with your laptop; yes there is WiFi.
Shared bathroom with walk-in tile shower.

Lower Level:
Bedroom 3 Queen size bed and the feel from the 100 year old exposed stone wall.
Bedroom 4/ Bonus room; separate the group with a full wet bar & microwave, 2nd refrigerator.
Two trundle beds; double over twin, private deck with stairs to the fire pit in the secluded yard.
Full bathroom with tub.

Lake Front Area: Enjoy the horse shoe pit, golf hole- bring your favorite club, freeze bee golf, volleyball net (bring your own ball), lakeside fire pit., picnic table. Dock space available, bring your own boat/s. Free, Boat launch is 1/4 mile up river and plenty of trailer parking on site at the overflow parking area.

Beautiful property
Getting to the property is a very scenic drive through the country and only gets better when you check in. The house is absolutely gorgeous with a breathtaking view. We watched eagles flying around every morning while eating breakfast on the porch. The view of the lake is unmatched anywhere. The house was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The lake was very peaceful with just a handful of boats and jetskis. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will be booking again.

EXCELLENT Property
This property was such a perfect location for our vacation. Less than 30 minutes from Lancaster, PA made it easy for a quick trip into town. The property has stunning views and is very peaceful. Communication with Brian was phenomenal, he was very responsive and helpful. we had 4 adults and one child 2 years of age. What a great surprise to find baby gates at all stairways!! Would definitely stay here again!

What a great place!
We stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate my niece’s wedding at Drumore Estates. The house was a fabulous find. We had a great time hanging out with family and enjoying the hot tub, fire pit, and large deck. The weather could have been better but we made the most of it. The house was comfortable and had everything that we needed.

Spectacular View - Wonderful House
We can’t say enough about the view which can be seen from every room. The house and grounds are well maintained, make sure to take time to checkout the butterflies feeding on the hillside. If you’re a bird watcher, there are eagles fishing from the river as-well-as Baltimore Orioles, Cardinals and American Goldfinches to name a few.

Lake House South is wonderful
We've been returning here for years in February to soak out the midwinter blahs. The place is well kept and beautiful. There is not much to do here and we like that. The Hot tub and train (there is a RR track between the Lake and the house) are comforting. Well be back!

My friend and I had a very nice vacation in this rental. It's right next to the train tracks, which is great if you love hearing and watching the trains roll by. The views are beautiful.

They gave us a comfortable stay and a pleasant preparation for our family Christmas, only the windows of the upper main room did not have handles to be able to open them and enjoy the weather, I suggest you can put them, we would have loved the smell of the countryside in the room. The terrace on the first floor we didn't have water for the bar so we couldn't be in that area preparing our meals the rest everything was fine, very good comfortable and clean stay

This property had it all! Clean and comfortable inside, awesome view outside! This property has an amazing outdoor space including a hot tub. The kitchen was really well stocked! On entrance...WOW!
Karen and Brian's house exceeded our expectations. There was enough of everything, dishes, kitchen utensils, towels, etc. We didn't want for anything. The beds were comfy and the pillows were great! The surroundings and the view were absolutely beautiful. To wake up to the view every morning was a treat. We had a small issue with the hot water heating up and with just a phone call Brian came to check it out right away. New water heater installed and all was well. The location of the house was pretty central to most the towns around, Lancaster being the largest town. Our experience with the house and the owners were exemplary. We would definitely stay there again over and over. Thank you Karen and Brian for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful and peaceful getaway
The location was spectacular. The view of the lake with the train tracks allowed for us to unwind and relax. My friends and I had an amazing time bonding without the need for technology - there is so much to do here! It’s very clean, kitchen is stocked with pots/pans/etc, and the hot tub is the BEST! We appreciate the property and would love to return again!

Paradise on the river!!!
We absolutely loved this house and definitely will go back. Loved watching the sunsets and enjoyed the occasional trains passing. Loved driving around and exploring the area... beautiful back roads. The view of the river from the deck and in the house were spectacular. Had all the amenities we needed for cooking and comfort. Thank you Brian for everything, we all totally enjoyed our stay... from fishing to swimming to the hot tub to golfing to site seeing and the best part... lounging and enjoying the VIEW!!!!

Girls weekend away!!
This property was absolutely amazing and exactly what we needed!! There are 7 of us and we have all been friends since HS and we get away twice a year, we will absolutely be coming back here. When they say the kitchen is well stocked, it truly is. Having the sheets and towels provided as also a great benefit. Very clean, lots of space, the deck is great and the view is breathtaking!!
