Odd smell in room. Ac did not work in first room. They moved us and everything was good. Inexpensive lodging. Would use again.

This was one of the worst hotels I’ve ever been to. I am not familiar with Battle Creek so I was trusting this site. Before we were even able to check in, the parking lot was blocked by a car. When I tried to get the occupants attention to move I was greeted with the view of them having “relations.” The female then got out of the car, he drove away, and she got into another vehicle. Looked like prostitution to me. We reluctantly decided stay since it was already paid for. The check-in desk was covered with bulletproof glass and I had to slip my ID through a slot like a criminal. The breakfast area was filthy, I took pictures and would love to attach them. Waffle batter all over the counter, crud in the sink, dirty countertop. The whole experience was disappointing and disgusting. We obviously won’t be back.

outdoor stairs were a fun adventure for us with a snow storm, but we made it. We really enjoyed the front porch and heater in there while resting and reading.

This is an older hotel but it has been maintained well. The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. It’s right off the highway in a convenient location.
