The hotel was very clean, multiple choices for breakfast. Rooms were clean and maintained well. Staff was friendly. We did not use the pool, so can’t comment on that.

One night stop going south

Exterior somewhat discreet and bland while reception, room, restaurant and the pool incl sauna where really nice! Corridors and the lift are dated with visible wear. Ah, the room door closing springs are quite stiff, so they will slam shut if not assisted. Good breakfast even though we found a little bit spread out, so an initial full lapse of viewing is recommended. Free coffee in the reception and some chairs/tables outside of the entrance (seem to work as a smoking area as well) Plenty of parking at the hotel but it's a shame you've to pay for it. The location of the hotel more or less will have you driving. Gas station next door, a fast food bar and a shopping center close by if you want food options to the hotel restaurant.

Snus

I would say the room was lot very clean because I found a used snus är b the floor next to the bed and after I had showered ihad a lot of small sandy particles on my feet, had to use hand towel dampened to wipe over the floor to make it more comfortable, Drain was very slow to remove water in the shower and even worse in the sauna area showers. Definitely needs cleaning properly, The staff were very nice and very helpful with any questions I asked.

Dirty pool and next to petrol station

We were very disappointed with this hotel. We chose it because it has a pool so the kids would play a bit. But they have a booking system to use it as it’s so small, so we couldn’t use it! There’s no info about this in their website which is terrible really. The hotel is right next to a petrol station, which is far from charming. We managed to get a slot for the pool next day in the morning, and the pool was super dirty! The “play rooms” are really basic and sad looking. Pretty low standards considering it’s a Scandic. Never again!

Old hotel by the road

A rather old hotel by the road. At least during the holiday season, there are a lot of families with children and it is quite noisy. You cannot come to the hotel without a car, so parking should be included in the price.

Extremely disappointing stay. The hotel is actively under construction, with dust, noise, and ongoing work throughout the property. It felt uncomfortable and unhygienic. This should have been clearly disclosed before booking. Paying full price for a hotel in this condition is unacceptable. I would strongly advise travelers to avoid this place until construction is completed.

Parkeringen var väldigt dålig, helt fullsatt utanför så vi fick stå en bra bit därifrån på deras extra parkering och gå därifrån. Parkeringen kostade dessutom 25 kr i timmen så det ingick ej trots att de var hotellets privata parkering. Personal var trevliga och hjälpsamma, frukosten var riktigt bra och väldigt mycket att välja på. Rummen var fina & sängarna var väldigt sköna tyckte alla i sällskapet. Överlag mycket bra hotell! Poolen stängde tidigt så den hann vi aldrig se eller prova tyvärr. Trots tv i lobbyn så fick vi ej starta den när fotbollsmatchen gick på tv, synd! Men baren var öppet sent in på natten, mycket mysig lobby att sitta och hänga i och ta en öl.

Vi bodde på hotellet på vei til Astrid Lindgrens Verden, og det passet veldig godt for en barnefamilie. Rommet hadde dobbeltseng og køyesenger, noe som fungerte fint for oss med to små barn. Hotellet har et lite basseng der man må reservere tid på forhånd. Det synes vi var en god løsning, siden garderoben er ganske liten. Selve bassenget var fint, og det var også mulighet til å slappe av ved bassengkanten. Vi spiste middag på hotellet, og buffetløsningen passet godt for barna. I tilknytning til restauranten var det et lekerom med kino, som var et stort pluss, selv om det var litt kjølig der. Frokosten var også bra. Hotellet hadde en egen buffet for barna med blant annet pannekaker i et rom ved siden av den ordinære frokostsalen. Denne var imidlertid litt vanskelig å oppdage, og kunne med fordel vært mer tydelig skiltet. Hotellet ligger, slik vi oppfattet det, et godt stykke fra sentrum. For oss, som kun trengte én overnatting på vei til Astrid Lindgrens Verden, var beliggenheten helt fin. Dersom målet er å kunne rusle rundt i sentrum, ville jeg nok valgt et hotell som ligger mer sentralt. Det var også gode lademuligheter for elbil ved hotellet. Ladeplassen ble etter hvert ganske full, så det kan være lurt å være ute i god tid. Alt i alt et hyggelig og familievennlig hotell som vi gjerne kan anbefale til andre barnefamilier som trenger en praktisk overnatting på vei til Astrid Lindgrens Verden.
