Park inn

Good stay within walking distance of Linz. Parking underneath with in/out facility. The room was small but we had a balcony that opened up onto a grassy area which was v handy for our two pups. Free water still/sparkling from foyer. V comfy bed

Nice location, you can walk, take a tram or bus, all are close. Decent breakfast, not the biggest but quite enough.

Quiet and very clean

This was one of the quietest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The room and the property were super clean. It’s just about 10 minutes walk to the Hauptplatz.

We reserved two rooms for four adults and two children. At check-in, we were initially asked to pay city taxes for the children as well. When I pointed out that, according to local regulations, children below a certain age are exempt, the representative acknowledged the mistake and corrected it. While I appreciate the correction, I would expect staff at a well-established hotel chain to be fully aware of such rules—especially when dealing with international guests. Additionally, I requested slippers upon noticing they were missing from our room. I was told by the front desk that slippers were not available, only to find out the next morning that my sisters had them in their room. This inconsistency was disappointing. Lastly, I found the parking fee to be quite high compared to similar properties. Overall, our stay was okay, but given the reputation of the brand, I expected a higher level of service and consistency.

Located in a quiet area but only a few minutes walk and you’re back on the main shopping street and only 10 minute walk to the old square. Good standard hotel, breakfast has good options just be mindful though that you’re expected to have finished and be out of the dining room by 10, not able to arrive last minute then linger, staff member wasn’t happy that people were doing this, but fair enough he was getting it set up for lunch. Overall a good location for a night in Linz. Train station about a 20 minute walk.

Worst check-in experience ever

Check-in was a nightmare. I don't know if the hotel provides any adequate training to all its receptionists, or whether employees treat someone depending on what the person looks like. In general, guests are not your buddies, and you don't scream their first names from across the lobby, you also don't try to school guests, that's not a well-trained receptionist does.

Wir waren in einer Juniorsuite als Familie eingecheckt. Sauberkeit, Ausblick und inkludierte Minibargetränke waren perfekt, auch die Ausstattung des Zimmers war gut, einzig die Ausziehcouch war, zumindest für Erwachsene, eine Zumutung. Aufgrund des völlig fehlenden Komforts war an (guten) Schlaf nicht zu denken. Da gäbe es wesentlich bessere Modelle, leider hat das den an sich gelungenen Aufenthalt sehr getrübt.

Wir waren als Familie mit 2 Kleinkindern in einer Junior Suite. Die war super für uns. Im Wohnbereich war Platz für 2 Babybetten. Die Kaffee- und Teestation war prima und auch die geräumige Minibar. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Für einen Städtetrip war die Lage klasse und auch die dazugehörige Tiefgarage war ein Plus. Als enziges Manko empfand ich den Preis für das Frühstück von 47€ für 2 Erwachsene und 2 Kleinkinder. Habe es nicht dazu gebucht und wir haben uns stattdessen bei der Bäckerei Winkler versorgt, die ich sehr empfehlenswert finde. Nichtsdestotrotz würden wir immer wieder im ParkInn einchecken, wenn wir in Linz sind.

Clean rooms. No bottled water in your room but you can fill your own Water and spritz in a free flowing tap in the lobby. No frills. Everything is self serve including handling your own luggage.
