And I’ve stayed at LOTS of them. Everything was all run down when I’m checked into my room. The room was so hot and had the worst cigarette smell and mold stench I’ve ever had in a motel. I walked into my room and started sneezing and coughing as soon as I walked into the room when I complained all they would do is spray some Lysol and that was supposed to take care of it, but it didn’t help at all, so I still wound up having to stay because I couldn’t find another place to stay. The chair, couch and carpet are all ripped and stained up. The ONLY thing that was decent is the air conditioner. It actually cools the room off doesn’t get rid of the stink, but it does at least keep the room nice and cool. The motel is 30 miles from the church where my grandson is getting married. He’s lucky that I wanted to come to his wedding so much. This was well after normal check in time around 7 pm. We had a service animal with us. We were informed that there would be a $500 extra charge as well as the $100 cleaning fee. I explained that the dog is registered. The manager was very rude when I tried to explain that the ADA covers service animals without extra charges. Never got key and was told he could not refund money because Hotels.com made reservation. Hotels.com service tells me that since it was after check in time, I could not get money refunded. We reserved a non smoking room with king bed. The room we got had two double beds with sway back mattress. Will never stay there again. Only stayed one night but paid for two. Rotten boards hanging from roof and the entrance is scary.
