“Great mountain home for families or friends. Plenty of rooms, even a fun playroom/bedroom for the tykes. Downstairs has pool table and darts and big TV. Upstairs with main floor, kitchen, dining, living and fireplace (lots of firewood available). Just a couple of hours north of LA, very convenient. Short walk to small community town for dining and small grocery. Lots of hiking nearby - we suggest hikes #6 and #1 on the property’s hiking map (on the coffee table). “This is a perfect getaway. It's close enough to Los Angeles, but far enough that you feel like you are not in the city. The house is a cozy place that fit my family of 4 perfectly. We ending up being able to have lots of family time from playing darts in the back, to the provided Pictionary game, to just sitting and reading and enjoying nature. The ‘cabin’ is very roomy, full of light and exceptionally decorated. The gourmet kitchen is to die for. This property was especially suited to one of our party with mobility issues. The ‘asterisk’ comes because of a few maintenance issues that individually would never spoil a stay, but combined, makes for a few frown...
