Location of the this riad is perfect for visiting Jemaa el Fna. The short way there is easy to learn and the staff will show you the way the first time and help you at all times. I asked in advance if they could get us bus tickets to our next destination. There was no problem, our tickets were waiting for us when we arrived to this beautiful riad. This was already my second visit to Riad Hamdane & Spa.
Love Riad Hamdane, we arrived at 10 pm and they were waiting for us, they offered us the traditional mint tea with traditional pastry, the Riad was clean, lovely, and the room was perfect, well decorated. The staff were very nice, friendly, they care about us, give us advices and suggestions of the city, they were all the time trying to do our stay more comfortable. We have dinner one night on the roof and I was in very good price and delicious, we have 3 dishes, salad, main course, and dessert, with drinks and tea. You will enjoyed more that going outside. The Riad includes breakfast and was delicious, traditional food with occidental breakfast, we ate a lot haha. Is located in a strategic place because you get in one minute de place by walking and you don't hear the noise, you rest in calm. It includes air conditioned, but by the weather we didn't need it. We call them two hours before landing and they sent us one driver, very friendly by the way. The price of the Riad is fair enough, because of the location, the comfort, the food, and their staff. Highly recommended. Thanks to everyone! Oussamaa thank you!!

Service, breakfast and rooms are simply the worst. But their extraordinary ability to make the say terrible for their guests is truly shameful. The tourism department should shut down this hotel asap.
Their staff (a female manager/ front desk person) was extremely rude, dishonest and vindictive. We are complaining about her to the tourism department as it is impossible to accept the lack of basic empathy she showed. She was laughing when we slipped and almost fell in their terrible lobby arrangement. She purposely delayed our breakfast and check-out just because she could. She simply took it upon herself to be extra terrible and vindictive because we had changed our rooms with another (nighttime) staff after she had told us during the day falsely that there was no other rooms available. Rather than being ashamed of her dishonesty, she felt vindictive and took it upon herself to ruin our stay.
On the first day, our room heater did not work and the manager lied to us that there were no other rooms available. So we slept for a night in real cold weather. No offer for extra blankets etc. A different manager in the night offered a new room the next day after we complained. Apparently there were rooms available but the original manager simply did not want to fix the heat or give us a new room.
We had a tour on the day we were leaving and had planned to check out fast. We had tried to settle everything, asked about credit card payment, had arranged a cab through them, etc th
You will be hard pressed to find a hotel with better service to it's guests. They met us in the main square and guided us to the hotel...we would have never found the place otherwise. Zahir, who works the night desk, literally helped us with every single request we made. He guided us in and out of the hotel, helped us navigate the train, organized transportation...even an awesome guide. The hotel is clean, filled with local character and charm. I'm glad other reviewers shared their experiences. My expectations were 100% fulfilled.
The best part about this hotel is the location. I stayed here for two nights, with a night in between doing a camel safari. The owner let us keep our bags at the hotel during the night we were away on the safari even though we did not reserve a room that night. The owner is very accommodating and friendly. The hotel is an easy walking distance to the main square, and although the medina can be very confusing to navigate my friends and I were able to find the hotel with very little problem.
The owner of this hotel is extremely friendly and gracious. Our room was very comfortable and was able to accommodate three people for a great price. The location is right next to the main square and very close walking distance to all of the main sites in Marrakech. I would definitely stay here again if I ever return to the city.

Pague por anticipado y me mandaron unas noches a otro hotel
If anyone is sceptical about staying in a Riad, please don't be. In Riad hamdane, you walk into a hidden little oasis that is exotic, fragrant and peaceful, teamed with friendly and welcoming staff it really is not to be passed up. My short break in this Riad was peaceful and relaxing despite being only a few winding streets away from the cacophony of the main square. No question or request for the staff at the Riad is too big or awkward for them to fulfil and any reservations that I had about staying in a Riad disapated very quickly. The hospitality and helpfulness of the staff at Riad hamdane and of the people of Marrakech leave you feeling welcomed and safe and it will leave a lasting impression on you forever. Morocco should feel very proud.
Many of the tourist attractions are within walking distance from this Riad. Jemaa el fna (square) is only a street away, la khoutobia mosque is 5 minutes away and palais Bahia and Saadien tombs are again a walking tours distance.
Did I forget to mention all the stalls and souks?! Just allow you feet to take you down all the winding alleys and side streets, there is no such thing as lost! in Marrakech.
The vendors are only to happy to show you their wares and "negotiate" a price that suits both sides. All I recommend is pick up a map of Marrakech, put a 6 point star on the square (that's practically where the Riad is!) and head out by following each point. You will not be disappointed by what you find.

Me gusto mucho!

Not for me
Photos of the rooms are flattering rather than what I found in reality
Room was cold, bedding was not pleasant and overall hotel not what I expected
Staff were very nice & friendly however this did not help with my expectations, I was not keen on marrakech as a whole so I stayed 1 night of the 4 booked, hired a car and drove to casablanca where I stayed for the remainder of my trip
Unfortunate first impressions did not recover by the end of the first day
The staff were superb
A welcome home each day after a tiring time in the souks!
2 if the staff there were the best in over 100 hotels in 40 countries - they made it for us!
