This hotel was located right in the centre of a little town and the front desk staff was so helpful. Her English was excellent and she gave us many suggestions of places to eat and even phoned over to a car repair shop for us to fix a tire. The hotel is located along a beautiful channel that you walk along to get to the local restaurants. The room was rather small but suited our needs and was very clean. Breakfast was provided and it had a variety of cold options. The hotel was only 10 km from Marvao and I would highly recommend it if staying in the area.

The hotel was nothing short of beautiful. The receptionist was very accomidating, nice and helpfull. We had a delicious dinner at the hotel resturant, and on top of the tasty dinner with unique dishes of the area, staying at the hotel will earn you a 10 percent discount at the resturant. The river right next to the hotel was a great and fun place to hangout with family and their was a very easy access to it through the hotel. Would definently recomend a stay here.

Poorly maintained hotel We did not have even hot water for the shower They did not tell us it was a problem with the water heater when we checked in, we may have asked for a refund and look for another hotel, but obviously was too late by the time we found a little note they left in the room. This is at the most, a 2 stars hotel

I loved taking a stroll in the shade by the river (and a swim) and sitting on my balcony drinking coffee in the morning and looking across the river and up at the castle and white storks' nest. The restaurant is excellent and reasonably priced. For those who like to walk there is an ancient calzads through a cork oak forest to the castle.
