Victory Inn

10/10 Excellent

"When I travel solo, I look for a decent bed and my own private shower and toilet. And overall I just expect cleanliness. That was all I was after for my budget. Victory Inn, though, was far beyond my expectations. Really comfortable double bed, clean shower and toilet (maintained daily). Soap, shampoo/shower gel. Air con. Reasonably quiet. And a desk (useful as I had some work to do). The staff were friendly. Easy check in and check out. All spoke English which I was very grateful for. I didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment about the food (I’m a grab on the go kind of person). I walked everywhere but busses and metro are all around. It’s about an hour to the airport on public transport (16 euros return at time of writing) - a bus and then a direct metro. For budget conscious travellers not wishing to share a hostel room with 7 other strangers….this is perfect. Will stay here next time I’m travelling to Athens and don’t require the top end hotels."

Mikelina Boutique Hotel

8/10 Good

"Beautiful boutique hotel. I Loved the decor it was a lovely serene environment. They had a lovely buffet for dinner for 25 Euros which seemed reasonable. I would have liked a bit of a sweet or cup of coffee but that was apparently for the included breakfast buffet which we weren't able to take advantage because of our early departure. We only stayed one night but I could see enjoying a longer stay."

Cabo Verde Hotel

8/10 Good

"We really enjoyed our stay at Cabo Verde. We were there in the beginning of the Fall off-season so our experience was probably different from others' who come in the peak summer and early Fall times. We found the hotel peaceful and the staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast area and outdoor area plus pool look right out at the sea. And there's always a warm coffee or cold beer available a few steps away. The rooms were also clean and well-maintained for the most part. There were a few minor areas where the wear and tear were visible, but nothing that really impacted our stay. The area around the hotel had plenty of dining options, even after the peak season was over, with a nice variety of traditional Greek foods, seafood, cafes, and bars all within easy walking distance. We also had no trouble getting cabs locally or to take us back and forth to Athens. Overall a great experience and we hope to go back someday."

Sokio Attiki Hotel, Bw Premier Collection

10/10 Excellent

"What a great size, you’re actually getting a 1 bedroom apartment, including a lounge with kitchen, bathroom & bedroom all leading to a large balcony. Ask for a quiet, top floor apartment so that it’s not getting the Athens street noise. Well situated a short work from the Attiki subway station which takes you to the Acropolis one way and Piraeus Port the other. We did a day trip to beautiful Hydra Island. We had the best meal in Greece at a favorite local restaurant a short walk away: Alto Mas Eleipe, highly recommended! The only downside is the pool which is small & only a meter deep but still refreshing & the hotel is small so you’re not sharing it with many people. We would stay there again."
