As a lone ,older, female traveler I must say that the staff could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and considering that I spoke very little French. They could not have been more helpful. The room was spacious, very clean , comfortable and extremely quiet. The breakfast facilities were adequate and there was plenty of variety. Again the staff were very attentive and friendly. I can recommend Hotel Vatel and would not hesitate to stay there again.

great location, very kind and caring staff rooms facing street are a bit noisy

This was the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Beautiful rooms, lovely garden to sit in. Vert good food but outstanding service. Every staff member went above and beyond but especially Paul Rucciza, Concierge..anticipated our needs in every way. I highly recommend this hotel.

This is a wonderful small hotel on a quiet street. All the staff were outstanding, especially Lauralie.

Beautiful chateaux - and excellent location in terms of proximity to Saint Emilion. Rooms were great and staff were extremely helpful. Big call out to Veren in the restaurant and wine bar - very attentive, funny and a great ambassador. One suggestion would be for the hotel to run a shuttle bus to Bordeaux a couple of time a day - either free or for a charge - Uber was about €120 into the city albeit much cheaper coming back - would be a nice touch if the hotel wanted to consider it. Overall a fantastic stay - thank you and would recommend it without hesitation (check out the frogs in the lake too - a real frog chorus!)
