I've stayed at the Stevens Motel a few times. It is always extremely clean, which is my #1 thing I look for in a motel or hotel. The area is safe, and it's only a very short ride to Penn State's campus. Added bonus is it's right next to the Waffle House, so very convenient to pick up breakfast.
The beds are very comfortable, and the proprietor and her family are very nice to deal with. Great prices, too! This isn't the fancy Hyatt hotel with all the amenities, but it's exactly what I'm looking for to visit my college son.
