"Everything was so amazing… I honestly don’t even know what to say. My staycation away from the noisy madness of Lagos was so needed, and choosing Sofitel Cotonou Marina was the best decision. This was a much-needed, restful, peaceful, and absolutely fantastic reset. 10/10 — I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND! A huge shout-out to Ms. Veronique and Madiath at the front desk — my checkout was so smooth. "Cheap hotel compared to other. Staff is very friendly and very helpful taking luggages in the room. The room is small, the TV image quality is not so good, and the Wifi is weak but afterall it was a good experience staying there, very close to the beach. Great job to the staff!"

"I booked for a senior suite. I was placed in a junior suite because even though I had already paid they double booked it and gave it to someone else. I was upset, but they said I’ll be refunded for the difference. I reached out several time to the property, to Expedia and they weren’t able to help. Even tho I was given a receipt with the amount to be refunded. Now I am filling a claim with my bank. Additionally, the food was terrible, they only have one iron on the entire property which I needed and they came back to take it whenever someone else needed it. The receptionist was rude. bathroom was not equipped with shampoo, conditioner or body wash. The bidet in the bathroom was broken so was the toilet and I would not used it my entire time on the property. "

"Taxi driver got very lost trying to find the hotel in the dark when we arrived. PLEASE put a sign on the main road & on the hotel door to help people find it. Breakfast wasn't served until 9am so we were unable to take it as we were on a work trip. Please consider travellers who are travelling for work and need to get to meetings by 9am so cannot wait for a late breakfast."

"Ouidah is my favorite place in the whole world and this hotel offers a peaceful getaway that I would choose over and over again. I recommend the sea view rooms, though the lakeview are nice as well. I just personally like being beachfront. The staff go above and beyond here. Food and drinks are delicious and decently priced for a resort. There are not a ton of activities, but the staff will organize games of water polo in the pool and you can canoe or paddle board on the lake. It's also quite close to Ouidah town where you can enjoy restaurants and cultural and historic sites."
